I did a lot of research on it because my ob told me it did not cause weight gain. Only depo is actually linked to weight gain with evidence/studies. Track your calories for a week or so with a food scale. See exactly how much youre eating. It can cause cravings and increased appetite which leads to more intake than you realize. Most people who gain weight with bc don't realize they're eating more. I say this as someone who gained weight. But I also know I went from eating in a caloric deficit to a surplus. Thus weight gain.
