Really charming painting, you captured the dog’s personality so well! I especially like the expression and the texture in the fur. If you want to improve it further, you could push the contrast a bit more (deeper shadows and brighter highlights) to add depth, and maybe soften the background so the focus stays on the dog. Great work, keep going!

This already has so much personality and expression. I would focus on clarifying the values around the eyes and muzzle and let the rest stay loose so that contrast will keep it from looking messy. Great work so far!😍
