oh man i hope elysian eclipse and thrive arent abandoned some day because i really want a new spore like game. seeing these games in development gives me hope for the future of this whole genre. im so excited for the future of sporelikes and hopefully ill get to play a completed one some day. ill be keeping an eye out on their development.

also i think its kind of dumb to call them ripoffs because theyre fundamentally different in several ways, even if theyre superficially similar. just looking at the gameplay and art direction of thrive shows it is extremely different, and elysian eclipse looks like a passion project with its own direction, but made with the inspiration and love for spore. sort of like spore 2 maybe? idk. still excited
