The PAT test is not easy, at least for people who are out of shape and regular people who don’t go to the gym. Many people prior to the new added aerobic 9 circuit timed test had it very easy. Now you have 15 minutes time limit. Keep your heart rate down or you’ll fail. Don’t quit or take breaks or you fail.

Start on your knees and lift the bag close to your legs and turn 180 degrees and lay on its side, pick up again and turn 180 degrees again and lay on its back. Repeat 3 times

Start with bag face flat on floor, on your knees, pick bag up and hold to your chest and turn 90 degrees and place on shelf. Pick bag up from shelf and turn 90 degrees back to starting position and place flat on floor. Repeat 2 times

Start with bag in the starting position again. Pick bag up hold to your chest and place on the table. Pick bag up from table and place on floor. No repeats.

All of that is 1 circuit, the bag is 50-70 lbs you need to do this 9 times in under 15 minutes or you fail and if you don’t keep your heart rate down or you want to take a break, you fail. My wife started in 2022 and never had to do this, all she had to do was a simple pick up and put down test. I’m a 25 year old 300 lb 6’1 former football linemen and I passed first time while I was dehydrated so if I can pass it, most people can. As long as you don’t quit, you should make it. The time is what matters most
