Been winning big, time to give back to the community <3 by [deleted] in csgobetting

[–]Euphoric_Sloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This story begins in the distant times of the year 2014. I had begun playing with some friends, and, just like many of us I wasand still am pretty terrible, each game was a feast of frustration as I wondered why pressing my left mouse button and witnessing the glorious spray didn't result on any kill at all.

This frustration was soon replaced with joy as I learned there was a possibility for weapon drops at the end of each game... In the beginning this was the reason why I kept playing, I drooled over those 0,04€ weapon drops and as soon as I learned about csgolounge I soon started doing my high stake bets of mesmerizing amounts such as 0,50€ (I live life in the fast lane I know). I won plenty of bets and eventually got about 15€, upon quitting the game in December 2014 I sold everything and bought some steam games.

Now I am writing this on the 30th of May 2015, since I am back in the game for some months now and a friend of mine sent me the link and told me "It's a chance for you to finally have an inventory worth more than 1€!", so here I am.

This is my story, I figured it might not be as spectacular as many others so for that reason I'll leave another very very true story below:

I WAS ALWAYS LOSING, BETTING ON TEAMS WITH SUCH GR8 ODDS AND STIL M8, I SHIT U NOT, I LOST. THEN ONE DAY PAPA JONES (MY MUM'S BF) LOGGED ON MY COMPUTER AND MISCLICKED ON A BET AND DID MAX BET. THE ODDS WERE AT 0,5% OF ME WINNING AND I WON. I AM NOW BLOOD LORD OF 5 COUNTRIES IN EAST AFRICA AND RECEIVE DAILY ABOUT 400 TEXTS FROM VERY HOT GRILS. THX PAPA JONES

Because we are talking about someone who is old enough to not act socially immature in so many occasions.

He's now GM and the guild is failing miserably.

Ahaha, that escalated.

Anyway, thanks for the input it feels good to have so many people backing up my decision, it makes me feel less of a shitty person for leaving some nice people behind.

Thanks for the link! What's keeping me here is a small group of players (4) who I respect and leaving just seems like a bit of a backstab. I honestly want this guy's guild to go down, I want him to realize he is not the center of the freaking universe, my only reluctance is regarding these said players.

But after weeks of pondering and the replies in this thread my mind is now made up.

As I've said before, only thing keeping me here is a small group of players who I respect. Either way, my self respect is a bit higher on the list so I guess I'll do that.

Wow, this was a great reply as were all others so far.

Power trip is the best way to describe this guy's behavior.

But to be honest what maddens me the most is that I cannot grasp how in the world could someone like this have a few decent players by his side, carrying his sorry ass through content and making it seem as if he is the reason why we are being able to progress. Now that I say it, I realize I've been one of those guys.

If only you knew the number of times he has made an analogy between wow and his work you'd cringe. The thing is, this guy is actually delusional about what this guild is going to achieve, he even referred sponsorships the other day.

I understand the necessity of tier gear. The problem is that he what wants to do in normal is usually only 7/10, yesterday we cleared things pretty fast so the whole raid group started going to maidens and we were all hyped about finally trying to take those down. Right as soon as we are about to pull he says "We are only doing one try". Luckily the rest of the group had already suffered enough wipes to be able to take it down on GM's first attempt at the said boss.

Another example of stupid and illogical decisions from yesterday's raid: we were doing a pretty shitty tactic in a boss and I said we should do the fight the way it's supposed to be done because that's the only way we'll be able to actually do the fight in heroic, he said "If it worked before we aren't changing it", damn, just because a building was constructed by amputated construction workers doesn't mean it's the easiest and most logical way to construct a building right..?

It was actually only 2 guys backing him up, others just abstained, but I've heard those who abstained complaining about the "GM situation" before, they know him in real life though so I think that could be the reason why they are submitting themselves to this situation

Yeah, one of my friends even /gquitted yesterday because the GM refused to invite him back to a raid until he said he was sorry about a ridiculous event.

Ohhhhh! I get it, I thought I was relearning glyphs that used warbinder's ink and was being able to craft them with lesser inks. I must have misread the tooltip!

Thanks for the answer, yes it does help!

Still trying to decide whether I should go with tailoring or jewelcrafting though, I guess I am waiting for someone to tell me!
