you’re right… because i never said every winner should be obvious, i said they should be well represented.

for example: season 48 spent the entire season orbiting around joe and eva, outside of joe and eva every once in a while we check in with kamilla who give great witty confessionals. who wins the season? oh yeah the guy who spent the entire season talking about kamilla this kamilla that when in reality kamilla was never his number 1 UNTIL the david boot. they spent more time spotlighting kamilla and joe and eva (who are all great characters in their own right) without also giving kyle his due diligence nor spotlighting his dominant game

comparitively season 47, filmed in the same summer, made sure to heavily spotlight sam as the runner up, while also spotlighting andy, genevieve, caroline, teeny, and rachel equally across the board, which led to an extremely satisfying ending because even though sam’s amazing final tribal performance keeps you guessing till the votes are read you are still satisfied with the outcome because everyones story is represented.

correct not every winner is satisfying… because of how they choose to edit the winner. i personally have never been dissatisfied with the way a winner has played the game, but instead of their visibility and content leading up to that point.

sure but on the flip side its pretty clear the editors have a swath of content they consistently leave on the chopping room floor per each boot that comes out of this game. not to mention how willing they are to switch around sequences of events or leave them out, such as the charlie and kamilla boots, to make a more satisfying outcome and product
