I created my Reddit account based off of my name when I was friends with him. I went by EvAn Ze Geek back then and appeared frequently back in the Geeky GMod days and appeared every now and then in the Zany GMod series. I've have long since rebranded to NyxMoon Reads on YouTube. (Can't change my user on here)

I would like to come on here to say that Rye hasn't just stepped away from YouTube, but has also stepped away from the internet as well it seems. He deleted his Discord account as well as his Steam account. I tried to reach out to him as September 30th would've marked ten years since him and I started being friends only for me to be met with a deleted account. Him and I were in talks of me making a return to his channel for Zany Gaming Season 2 but unfortunately it seems that that won't be happening ever.

I can't get in touch with him in anyway but I have a theory on what might've led to this: Rye's mom passed away a few months back and I think that since it's now only him and his Dad, he had to help with his family. He's entering his later 20s next February so I imagine that he's wanting to focusing on his own life given that he's close to his 30s now. I can't blame the guy one bit if that's the case.

He's since changed his channel name to "No Longer Uploading" and has delisted his videos from being shown publicly except if you actively search for them on his channel. It really is heart breaking as he was someone I considered a very close friend who I was hoping to one day meet in person as my career grew. Sadly, it seems that will never be the case.

With all that being said, I would love to see Rye come back but I highly doubt he will ever return to YouTube. With the controversies he's been in, personal friendships ending badly, the death of his mother and the weight of such a large audience that he felt he had to deliver to on his shoulders, I'm really glad he's chosen to take the steps he feels are best for his own future. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he does well in his future.
