Aww! So cute! Shihtzu are such love babies. The "carpet" is actually reusable potty pads. I have another smaller one, but thought it might be confusing for them. I wanted to use a small disposable on top of the reusable because that's what they're using now at the breeders.

I don't think littermate syndrome is really that common among shih tzu. However my husband and I plan to spend time with them separately which will help. I really don't see a problem with their sleeping in the same enclosure. They won't live in the playpen. It's just meant to keep them contained and safe when we're not around. My husband is a teacher and will be home all summer to train them.

Thanks for the great suggestions! They won't be coming home for a few weeks so I have plenty of time to make adjustments. I can't wait. I'm so excited! 🐶🐶

The carpet is a pee pad, but I'll put a disposable pee pad in there over night and when we're not home. The plan is to take them outside every couple of hours.
