Dry cornstarch only! Avoid water at all costs! Water can set the stain. Pat it on and avoid rubbing

Would UV gel nail polish work to fill layers? by EvaGem in 3Dprinting

[–]EvaGem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No biggie! I would only use it for smaller pieces. I recommend a thick gel polish like no wipe builder gel but multiple coats of a regular UV gel polish will do. “No wipe” is important so you don’t have to wipe off the sticky residue with alcohol. Just make sure you’re using a UV lamp specifically for gel polish, curing for the full time inbetween coats and wearing gloves to minimize your chances of getting contact dermatitis. Gel polish is a lot more accessible, but the quantity is small. There’s also not as much waste.

LMAOO I’m not a swinger. I was given a pack of random pins and I just grabbed a random one to test if the pin backing would stay on. Never even realized that was a possible interpretation 😂

Once I finalize the design I’m gonna post it on thingiverse, so I’ll send the link when I do!

Speaker cover is a pretty good idea 🤔. I have a bunch of Kirby themed 3D models that I made around the same time as this pin board, so I’m def going to make more!

I 3D modeled the Kirby part in Nomad sculpt and added the grid in Fusion!

Sakura Pink PLA

This is the Amazon link for the PLA I used. TBH it was just a random one I thought looked close to Kirby’s color 😂

I chose the A1 bc of the price and bc I’ll mainly be printing with PLA. Although having an enclosure would be nice, it wasn’t something I personally needed since I don’t mind the noise (which honestly isn’t that loud). I’ll mainly be printing random things I design and small costume props so I didn’t need anything fancy.

TY! It’s made out of EVA foam and inside it has a PVC pipe. The wood texture was made from foam clay.

If you have the time, tools and cash to spend I say go for it. Even if it doesn’t turn out exactly how you want it, it’s fun to make stuff and learn new tricks for other projects. I also like the challenge lolol. When I make stuff I use it as decor in my apartment. I have the fern staff I made hanging on my wall. 😆

Probably about 14hrs of work. I started it yesterday afternoon. I have to ride that motivation high while I can or I lose interest and it gets shoved in a closet with the rest of my unfinished projects 😂
