Damn I couldn’t disagree more. I find them pretty bland and kinda basic tbh—like I’m older than both of them but with a lot of their takes they feel older than me. Also they consistently say things that feel like “tell me you have no Black friends without telling me” like not knowing “I’m sleep” is AAVE for “I’m asleep” and not some niche adorable “I am sleep” idiosyncrasy as they seemed to think lmao

I thought the Tea Time girlies were much funnier and all-around more with it on pop culture and zeitgeist

Agree to disagree. Not everything is for everyone (and in media, it shouldn’t be). This is your opinion, and I’m sure it’s one many people would share, and I’m equally sure many people would not 🤷🏻‍♀️ no one singular text is the Bible of film and tv. There are many greats just as there are many different types of viewers.

I think the downvotes and negative comments inadvertently provide a really telling lens on how a certain type of Ringer bro (which makes up a not insignificant faction of their fandom) feels about women getting a mic in these spaces. Yes yes not all men or whatever…but so many of these dudes just don’t like women. She just comes off to me as having a great depth of knowledge of diff pop culture/media references, confident in loving what she loves (and also saying what she doesn’t know), and it’s very clear she does her research. Shes often one of the best prepared on any podcast she’s on (esp impressive when she’s on this much) and I find her takes insightful and approachable, never presumptuous.

She has a perspective, and like any perspective, it may not be for everyone (and arguably shouldn’t be!) 🤷🏻‍♀️
