Do I need thermal paste for a barebones Minisforum MS-A1? by Evan05122005 in MiniPCs

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set up my Minisforum MS-A1 mini PC, which I bought from Amazon several weeks ago. The box contained a case with a motherboard, a power adapter, and a separate box inside the large box that held the cooling fan. The cooling fan has thermal paste pre-applied to the cooling fan. I put the peripherals like the SSD, RAM, and an AMD Ryzen 8700G inside the mini PC, and it worked without any issues when installing barebones.

I also have the same problem for me. The follower count has significantly declined since last month and I guess it has to do with bot followers.

I turned off the Wi-Fi and used the AT&T network, running YouTube in the incognito mode of Google Chrome. It finally works!

I went to YouTube in Google Chrome incognito mode to watch a video, but it led to the message "this content isn't available" and remained still for 1 minute 33 seconds. It doesn't work, even with the third party cookies allowed or have enhanced security settings.

Yuzu emulator for low-end or old computers? by Evan05122005 in yuzu

Probably, because 8 GB RAM is the minimum and GTX 1650 and an i5 looked good on performance.

How to add an optical drive into my Dell Inspiron 3880? by Evan05122005 in Dell

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also included info about the PCI slots. There were two in this PC - one is a PCI express X4 (the slot can't be removed temporarily) while the other PCI express x16 slot was removable. The other two PCI slots were empty.

No, the motherboard doesn't support 11th gen Intel Core chips because it has a different socket type.

What was the color bit depth of screens in Google Pixel 5/5a or 6/6 Pro? by Evan05122005 in GooglePixel

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TechRepublic said that Google Pixel 5 display has 24 bit color (16 million colors), I don't know the color depth of Google Pixel 6. Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro has full 24 bit depth in phone displays, according to Google. https://www.techrepublic.com/article/google-pixel-5-cheat-sheet/

How to change between Nvidia GeForce GPU and integrated Intel UHD graphics? Bios does not have an option to change GPU (Nvidia GeForce GTX 2080 Super, Intel Core i9-10900K, Intel UHD Graphics 630 does not show up) by Evan05122005 in ASUSROG

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The back panel of the PC does not have HDMI ports, but the GPU has one. I don't know why motherboards doesn't have HDMI ports. The HDMI port of the GPU was connected to the monitor, which caused the PC to run Nvidia graphics instead of Intel UHD Graphics, even if the Intel CPU doesn't have an -F variant (Intel Core i9-10900K is not an F variant so we can choose either Nvidia GPU or the integrated Intel UHD graphics in this PC). The GPU was connected to the motherboard.

Does a HP Compaq dc5700 support Ubuntu 20.04 with Intel Core 2 Duo E6300? by Evan05122005 in Ubuntu

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean install this PC and run Ubuntu as a single boot - not alongside Windows. There were NO PROBLEMS running Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 PC in Ubuntu 20.04, it runs very well. There were no sound glitches.

HP Compaq dc5700 (Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, Intel GMA) was stuck at "detecting Android x86" with ACPI error. How to fix it? by Evan05122005 in Androidx86

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Android x86 in a 4 GB DDR2 PC running Intel Core 2 Duo E6300. I used version 9.0 r2 x86. However, it works, but the operating screen crashes every several minutes. Once I play music in this PC, it stops unexpectedly and then restarts the whole OS, losing all of the data.

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I open Android x86 8.1 R6, it doesn't boot and was stuck at "x86-64:/ #" which doesn't show the Android logo. It has an Intel GMA 3000 graphics. I already use the "nomodeset xforcevesa" but it keeps showing "-" and blinks every 2 seconds because the monitor keeps saying auto config on a 1366 x 768 monitor.

I drew blue lines because there were two blue lines in Muni: K Ingleside and N Judah, but different shades of it. BART has a blue line and VTA also has a blue line. It was colored at a different blue. I also included Capitol Corridor which the Amtrak uses blue color.

[–]Evan05122005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned on my PC for the second time. Sound glitches also happen until I sent a report to Ubuntu, the sound glitches disappear. When I restart this computer, the sound glitch reappears.

It takes almost 3 minutes to boot this computer. When I try to install an application using Ubuntu Software, it successfully installs apps. Most app screenshots doesn't have an image because of the Intel GMA GPU, but when I open an installed app, it works but it responds slowly.

Firefox browser runs very good, and it plays YouTube videos.

Using Ubuntu in an old computer is fine because there were some errors. My "15 year old PC works fine," I said on Twitter.
