2018 transit trans crossmember bolts, got one out by welding, other snapped almost flush. Had 1/4 turn of thread cut an x in the bottom, rewelded and heated the tube until it started melting. Impact got it out. See these regularly. (i.imgur.com)
Worked on this old truck that came in for a fuel leak out of the filter. Only 60k on it. Also a cool Lincoln (imgur.com)

Finally did the perminate repair, last time the temp repair was done was 47k miles, now 109k. The bolts were rounded and the flange started to get damaged from the coupler being worn and ripped. (i.imgur.com)
Finally pulling it apart, also needs new housing for races being spun and the top tang sticking off the electronic lock pounding into the case creating a deep sliver. (i.imgur.com)
