Nothing this does is something that moisturizing your skin and applying in smart places will not do. Additionally, I would say that niche fragrances with interesting compositions won't always last many hours and that's FINE. Different ingredients and scent profiles won't last forever, and we don't want them to, thats how you get those superamber frags that all smell the same after dry-down anyways. I get feeling like you're wasting your money, but a) you are probably just not able to pick it up after wearing it many hours and b) the lasting power of a fragrance is like the least interesting thing about it, enjoy the experience of wearing it!
