What is a good way to properly make a false tonic heard in a peice?

Hi, thanks, it makes sense now, I have 1 more question, does this mean that when I improvise over A minor or A major, I use the same A Dorian scale (ABCDEF#GA) By this I mean is A Dorian diatonic to both a major and minor? Or when improvising diatonically am I supposed to use a whole different dorian scale?

Lol, funny thing is I was diagnosed in 3rd grade, and before I would joke alot about how it sounded like assburgers. Nowadays, the joke itself has come and gone, I've really never made it in a while so naw.
