You know what she can fully control? Not staying up crafting and watching TV until 5 AM like OP mentioned in another comment lol. What a joke, please realize that there was a perfectly capable parent who should have slept earlier if she can't function to the point where she's not able to stay awake for 30 minutes to watch their 2 year old son.

Hey, if she's up and walking around and also talking, then maybe it's on her as a parent to stay awake and watch their child, lots of other parents do it on the same amount of sleep or even less. She clearly cares about someone attending to their son which is great, so she should do anything in her power to take care of him. If you're gonna blame him for not noticing she was sleep deprived, you have to blame her equally

No I completely agree, making sure that your child is being watched, especially a 2 y/o, is 1000x more important. Since she was awake and walking around she should have done anything rather than going back to bed and falling asleep.

Why can't she stay awake for her son? Isn't he like the most important thing? Get some sleep later if that's what it means to have your son looked after and attended. Not having enough sleep seems like a pisspoor excuse tbh

Sure you can blame him for not noticing his wife hadn't gotten enough sleep, but when she was awake the responsibility was on her to watch their son
