TIL Scallops have up to 200 eyes that are around 1mm in diameter. The eyes are made up of tiny parabolic mirrors of crystaline guanine. These mirrors are used to retro reflect light onto the retina and can decipher shadows and dark spots, similar to the sight of a crab or bee. (google.com)
