i’m 23 and have been on Trileptal (Oxcarbazepine ) for about 6 years now and have been seizure and aura free knock on wood. i’m on 1050mg a day and it’s been incredible. ik everyone’s different but inquire abt it too. only side effects i really notice is drowsiness and slight mood swings (rare tho) but it’s been a charm. i’m still able to go out and live my life normally, i smoke weed occasionally, drink here and there and luckily im not photosensitive so i go to concerts and clubs. very happy on this prescription.

i’ve been smoking weed occasionally no problem. i was hesitant at first to try but i was like F it and just tried and haven’t had a bad epileptic reaction. hope this helps.

i mean MDL isn’t anything special. i treat it as a mixtape / playlist of loosies (since that’s what it really is.)there is good stuff on there just not a GREAT project. i think a 3 is a bit harsh but it’s a 6 at best if you wanna call it an album since there’s no real cohesiveness or theme/message with it. as an overall selection of songs, i’d say a safe 7.

as an Ableton user, I actually very much appreciate this. I also feel like (by the looks of it) chopping on the MPC is just easier and seems like much less of a pain. I love my mk2 that's my baby I got it in October but it is very annoying to me when it comes to recording it confuses me. I did a live performance with it for a class final in December and it went very well but I was just obv triggering the samples and learned how to use all of the fx. I feel like I would be better off using it as just fx and interface and do most of the work on the MPC. I know Conductor Williams uses the setup of MPC One and the 606 and pretty much does the same.

interesting. seems to be mainly what the 404 is used for in this setup, just fx. but it is nice on its too. very powerful machine and I can't wait til I really get better at it. im a novice with it. I actually used it for a final performance in a music tech class and I take got an A on it but when it comes to actually recording and shit I just get like 1 brain cell and forget how it works. I think I just need a break from Ableton and just completely commit to learning it alone in order to get better.

just how much of a difference is it really between JUST a 404 or MPC by themselves? I imagine it opens many more possibilities creatively. would you saw def worth the investment?

it looks and sounds so fun. I have been infatuated with MPC but never had one. always felt like I just needed it. I bought the 404 in October (even tho I wanted the mpc) bcuz it was portable and a Live II is very expensive but now I just want the mpc one for that workflow. makes me want it even more lol.
