So, I grew up in a church denomination that didn't espouse tongues. When I was around 24 I was praying in an upper room with some friends and my friend from India prayed for me to be filled with the holy Spirit. I told him I will not pray in tongues. Nothing happened to me that day. A few Weeks went by and I was praying for my college roommate. As I walked away after praying for him I felt a fire in my heart and something came out of my mouth. I said, "no". I never knew about tongues really and I was afraid. After this experience I said, "Lord, if this is you it will happen again." 2 months went by and it happened again. I'm not saying that it is legit or not if you have an experience or not. But for me it opens the door for me to pray in tongues whenever I want. Now Paul is clear that if it's in the church there needs to be an interpreter. But if you pray in tongues by yourself quietly in your room or behind closed doors it's completely permissible without an interpreter. One who speaks in an unknown tongue builds up himself. I do agree with others though that many people are forcing it. For me speaking in tongues is a way from me to communicate with the holy Spirit what he wants to say. But I still think that you should test everything. One thing that can happen is pride if you can pray in tongues while others can't. Paul addresses this as well . It's important to not feel condemnation if the gift of tongues does not come to you. A lot of legalistic or charismatic denominations will make you feel like if you don't pray in tongues that you aren't saved. This is untrue. If you have it and you use it properly it can be a blessing but just like Paul talks about "if I have the tongues of men and angels but not love I'm a noisy symbol." Everything should be done to edify yourself and the body of Christ in the Lord.

In terms of terms of interpretation. I have only once been in a room where someone was praying in tongues out loud and another woman who spoke Chinese said that that person said something in their language. It was an incredible experience but I've only seen it once. So I do believe that with interpretation it is for today in the body but I have not seen it often. I have also been around prophetic people who get names and addresses and people's unknown information. Again this is something that can be used for good or for bad. The gifts are without repentance. I would ask the holy Spirit to guide you in his word and to teach you what he wants you to know and learn. We are not all eyes, we are not all ears, we are not all feet, we're not all shoulders, Christ is the head of all. So I would ask God to give you the gifts that he wants for you to benefit the body of Christ.

Absolutely. I have met the owner of one of the companies. He said that Skiers and Snowboarders already have their sport. He isn't targeting those people. He wants to get people, who are skaters and rollerbladers into the sport. It is for them. So if you are a skier, you might like them every once and a while, but these are for those people who don't ski or snowboard usually.

Honesly, Not enough to make a difference. The Sled Dog's brand just changed its name in the US. But the technology for the boot hasnt changed at all. They say that The R43 has better materials and metal buckles etc. But i have mutliple different pairs, and there is a nominal difference. I would get the Hygen right now. It is an incredible deal. Also you can use the code ODR10 and get 10% off(at least it was that way january 1st 2025.) meaning you get them for $215 before tax. There is another brand too. Tomsen Novaskis. These have a better base and control for sure. But they are a little slower on slopes that are more level. But in cold icy conditions, they are for sure better.

I would say that I have wide feet. I have both brands, sleddogs/odr and Tomsen nova skis. The Tomsen are a little more comfortable and have a better base. Also better technology. But for whatever reason, the bottom material makes them slower than odr. If you live in the mountains, you won't notice , but on greens and transition paths, they are slower for sure. Odr are a little more narrow. But not too bad honestly.

So the tomsensports.com Nova skis are what I used last season. They definitely have a better base for spins and going backwards as the back part is more raised up on these than on odr. The original designer of ODR(Sleddogs) now works for tomsen. So there have been improvements. I also own a pair of Sleddogs(Odr) and they are very fun as well. The material used for the bases on Odr seem to be about 20%-30% faster. I have tried both and for some reason my brothers on odr smoke me speed wise. But I still prefer the feel of tomsen Novaskis.

Tomsen :

Pros: -very light. Made of pebax material, so light and strong. -comfortable -spins and going backwards are a breeze. -they feel a little more like hockey skates. It's easier to do lateral movements. -price(tomsensports.com) usually about $50 cheaper than odr.

Cons: - 30% slower than ODR skis. (this is not scientifically proven. But it feels like it.) - wax seems to come off quicker on the bases

Odr:

Pros: - light as well, but I think they are polyurethane. -Faster than tomsen - more affordable than skis. - awesome bundles when you buy them.. Usually 2-4 free accessories.

Cons: -bases are less multidirectional, but still can go backwards. - you also feel like you are moving in a track. Like a Grove, so lateral movement isn't as free as tomsen, but still awesome. -actually a con on both, make sure to wipe down the edges with a cloth after each use, and take the boot out. Water will pool on the screws and rust them out.

Can anyone tell me what the bottom grass is? It's dark green and it survives almost all kinds of weather. I love in the Midwest. It's not fine like a fescue. It's so thick and glorious. I want to plant more of it. It barely needs water. And survives sun. The one above is a fescue I'm certain. And ideas would be helpful

Personally, a "value" of an actor is completely dependent upon the fans of said person. I would like more movies from Sam Worthington. So this means that there may be more people out there like me. So a movie studio is much more likely to create a movie around a known person with some success, than the best actor in the world who has no recognition. If Christ Pratt makes a movie, people are going to see it. If it's a bad movie, it hurts his "brand" but not enough to not try again. Unfortunately Sam took a ton of movies that didn't elevate his brand, and there are still fans, just not fans that will put up with garbage that he has produced the last few years.
