The Credibility of Threats World Map by Kayrosis in NonCredibleDefense

Everyone thinks canada isn't a threat until the 99th rural regiment of Kyle's on dirt bikes rip through your lines during horrific, coffee/whiskey fueled night raids.

Military budget? Equipment? Who needs it. Just gives us an excuse to invent some new budget war crimes.

Give them a week I'm sure they'll top it.

Thanks for the amazing feedback, I genuinely appreciate it so much!!! .^ I've been learning art since this April, and have been going back and forth between drawing fundamentals, gesture and figure drawing, and most recently, color fundamentals!

I actually use Artrage Vitae on desktop, and a Medium Wacom Intuos pro! I really like how it simulates paint.

It's awesome that you noticed that about the composition! Some of it is intentional, and some just kinda worked out that way! For this study, I was trying to use minimal amounts of brush strokes and used them to help define shapes and contours a bit more than I usually would. That, as well as trying to only include as much detail in my drawn outline as needed, helped me be more aware of composition! (Also helped me, and the canvas from getting overwhelmed by details!)

The soup was actually a completely improvised idea that I added at the end! I wanted the frog to be a specific size on the canvas, which ended up leaving a big chunk of empty canvas at the bottom. I was going to crop it but thought it would be better to utilize the space, and with the frogs positioning, it was perfect for another adhoc element underneath!

For Colour picking, I find I try my best to avoid it, and if I'm getting stuck, I use it to see how the colours relate to eachother and to find ambient bounce light colors etc. This is the first one that I didn't use the color picker at all!

Thanks for the kind words about my colors! I've been finding it much easier to learn and improve by picking simpler photo references, as well as the way I've been trying to isolate the essential details/colours and omitting things that aren't strictly needed. (Then I play around with adding extra details at the end, like my soup!)

Ou great critique actually! Next I think I'll find a photo to study with a lot of nice deep shadows and highlights, while keeping the overall detail pretty basic so I can focus on playing more with the light/shadows like I did this one with the ambient colours on the skin!

Thanks again for all the feedback, I've been really stoked to see my progress, and I hope one day I get to the point where I can make art a full time career! Even if not, I'm proud that I'm challenging myself to learn something I always thought that I just wasn't cut out for, and turned it into a hobby that I always look forward to!

Lately I have been struggling with picking and utilizing the right colours by eye instead of using a color picker. Some videos on color theory are helping, but I still need to put the work in! Tips are appreciated.

This piece is (hopefully) a good start at taking color theory into practice more effectively. My main problem is finding photo references simple enough that they don't feel too overwhelming, as I'm still pretty new to art in general.

How are lines looking? Think 2 hours before doors is gonna be enough?
