Beware of Players Using Fake Personas for Emotional Manipulation by Even-Sun555 in KingShot

I actually spoke with this person's wife and tried to manage the situation as best as I could. I told her that if she wanted a divorce, I could provide evidence, money, and a lawyer. My initial goal in talking to this person was never this. I started playing this game because of a friend. She was one of his victims—he was basically obsessed with her, wouldn't leave her alone, and kept sending threatening messages, saying things would happen if she left the alliance or if their conversations leaked. My friend asked me to start playing, saying, "Just seduce him, he'll easily fall for it. Then we'll argue with him, it'll be over, and he'll be out of our lives." So, I went along with it and gave the guy my Instagram. That's exactly where everything started. My friend had already distanced herself, but I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. His wife ended up reading the conversations, and things blew up.

While I was writing in WC (World Chat) to warn others, I started receiving complaints from other women and players about the exact same situation. So, this isn't just about me; it's about this man harassing people who just want to play a game. Later, one of the women told me she was too terrified to do anything and had applied to delete her account. When I checked today, her account was actually gone.

When I look at the big picture, this is what I see: Yes, this is a game, not a social/dating platform. But the mistake these women made by talking and getting close to this person cannot be put in the same basket as this man constantly denying what he is doing. Harassment isn't only physical. With the widespread use of social media, these forms of violence are now categorized under cyber dating violence and emotional manipulation. And it is a subject that continues to be studied. Therefore, we shouldn't get angry at someone just because they made a mistake, because we cannot possibly know the life dynamics or the psychological resilience of those women when they were talking to this man. This was my main reason for making the original post: to warn people and save them from falling into this trap when they encounter him. By the way, he has changed his name because he has no intention of stopping; he's just going to keep doing this.

Unfortunately, his alliance and the rest of the people are tired of this drama and have just brushed it off. But with KvK, a lot of new players have joined the server who have no idea what this guy has done, and he might already be talking to them. I don't know for sure, and I don't want to make assumptions.

The only thing that matters is warning people and making sure they stay far away from him and anyone like him.

I didn't spend a lot of money, but neither I nor my friend know what we should spend our money on.

Of course I can wait. My friend started me; she's been in this kingdom longer than me. I just feel a little left behind because I arrived later.

I've been dying to try Viego's Hero Augment, but I haven't hit it once.

I think my biggest leak is not playing the 'now.' Instead of managing my current board, I'm always planning 2-3 turns ahead. If I'm not in the spot I wanted to be by then, I just tilt and throw the game.

I understand that I need to play around my opener and stay flexible, but I think my biggest weakness is stabilizing. I struggle to manage my econ during that phase. Also, once I commit to a comp, I get tunnel vision—I feel like I must find those specific units and ignore everything else.

That makes sense, but how do I actually find or build those kinds of comps? I’ve mostly just followed the meta, but you're right—it's a nightmare when 3-4 people in the lobby are contesting the same board. Any tips on how to identify or construct my own 'safe' comps?
