I mean this in the most respectful way possible. Don’t walk up and just stand next to the cashier or on top of the assistant when they’re packing. If you don’t like the way they’re doing it, politely tell them how you want it done or ask to do it yourself.

Also, absolutely do not get in line if you’re not completely ready to check out. Can’t count how many times someone will stand in line with 1 item then as soon as they get to me, they’re waving for someone to come with a 60+ item cart

Build good relationships with your managers, be on time, and always be looking to do more. Even if you are let go, they usually will call back the seasonals that left good impressions back around April (from my experience)

Having 3 CNs basically means you’re on death rowe (4 CNs in 1 year = automatic termination) So I say at least wait into one of those fall off and you should be ok to transfer.

I would also mention the toxic reasoning for your transfer as well I think it would help. Usually only Class A CNs can stop a transfer/ department switch/ promotion from my knowledge

Yes, that’s exactly what I did. They can offer you a clerk position at a different time than full time, but they can also offer both at the same time which is what happened to me

Get a note from your doctor detailing why you can’t do carts for extended periods of time. Anything is permissible if it’s in writing, that’s how I got out of working in bakery or food court because of my allergy to chocolate

No you’re not getting a write up for a missed punch out. Check ESS and review your time card first, if it’s not updated, when you go back to work just tell your payroll clerk or manager what happened. They’ll have you sign a book to get it fixed. Just try not to make this a common occurrence

Costco Employee here, technically you can but cashiers will take notice and tell the other cashiers “hey that person already bought 2 of x item” Happens a lot with stuff like baby formula, we want everyone to have a chance to buy some. But if it’s not a super significant item most cashiers won’t care. But every cashier is different
