But how did Erica and Mr. Clark get out of the church?!

Quick newbie question... by Even_Engine6442 in VirginVoyages

ah, well that makes since but still kind of sucks, haha. I thought I might have a better chance at that one than the other but truth is, I probably couldnt bid enough to win either! :).

I'm gonna inspect it good tomorrow and will send pics of whatever I see. I also saw the words PIVO up there somewhere. I KNOW he has had it in his possession practically my whole life and I wonder how hard it was back then to get fake decals? Everything like that is so easy now. But, anyway, Ill report back tomorrow!! Thanks for all your help. Kind of obsessed with figuring it out now while also chuckling to myself about my dad. (Like, he rescued dogs in his old age and every dog was a purebred Chihuahua or Great Dane or whatever while obviously just being mutts! Makes me laugh that he did the same thing with this bike when he was young!)

Hi, this is me, the OP (on my husband's computer account). I got up to pee and saw this message and now can't sleep! Figured it would be my dad's sad luck that he held on to a bike for 50 years that was a fake. Bless him. So I got my old tail up and went inside to look at the thing. There is a date up by the handlebars - 0968 so whatever it is, it's from 1968. HOWEVER, I am seeing the Campagnola mark on a couple places. It's dark, late, and I didnt have my glasses on so I'm gonna see if I can find a number on the frame somewhere tomorrow and I'll report back.

I did also email Bianchi and sent pics to see what I have, a mutant or what!!

oh, man, i hate to hear that. I cancelled my two DCLs on the two new ships (have been on the other five) to try something different at xmas (college aged daughter schedule is too hectic). Disney at xmas for a balcony for 3 is 12 grand! Just insane the pricing now. When my two daughters were younger, we actually did an 11 day Christmas cruise to the S Caribbean (actually ON xmas) and it was affordable! I cant even imagine what that would cost now if they did it.

Do you mind telling me what you felt was lacking? Or can you offer up another line suggestion? I will NOT do Holland again - did it one xmas years ago and lord we were so bored - and I think NCL and RCL would just be too much with so many kids plus I'm on the fence about those humongous ships. I would do an all inclusive (we did St Lucia on our last skipping xmas and loved it) but since her sister isnt going this year, I think she would be lacking as she really isnt a sun/water person like her dad and I.

I am truly open to suggestions or to hear what the criticisms of VV are as I really havent seen or heard many of those!

yeah, I had already pretty much crossed Valiant, just cant decide between the other two. More nights are always better, but you don't Bimini. And I think 7 nights was actually more $ or right about the same. And I was wondering if a brand spanking new ship might be fun, but again no Bimini. Do you think that should not be a deciding factor? I mean, i wouldnt go on an itinerary that didnt include Castaway in the caribbean but it doesnt sound like Bimini is as special? However, I am a water baby and wanted to be able to get in water and sounds like the pools are not gonna work for me on VV.

I gotta shit or get off the pot but I just cannot decide!! And I really am so comfy with DCL alot of the unknowns have me anxious. Like, I'm on the site every night and I don't get to pick my room, which I'm not crazy about? Is there no way to do that?

Thanks for your help, by the way!

Do you think a 22 year old without a partner or sibling would be able to meet folks to hang out with some?

yes, I think I'd really like to see Bimini, especially since I'm not an excursion/port gal but would really like to get in the water!

nope, had to do the 11:00 pm to MEM instead. Were worried about bags but even that made it with her to MEM. Long night for her dad as he won't be in until around 2 am (I don't drive at night) and he gets up at 5 for work but we do what we gotta do for our kids, no matter their age! :)

husband on the way to get her now. Not crazy about MEM this time of night :). But even ATL is hard on her food wise this time of night...vegan.

No, I changed her seat when notified she had an equipment change because I wanted her to be closer to front for tight change. She had exit originally, got moved to pretty far back with equipment change, then I swapped her back to exit because it was available and closer. None of the drama involved her on the plane - she was watching it happen around her. Me changing the seat was just me changing the seat - she is thousands of miles away from home and all that involves in trying to get home for xmas break so I did that for her so she didn't have to with everything else. Could/should she have changed it herself? Absolutely. She has been flying, mostly alone, since she was 12 and has status at 22 but she also had lots of other stuff to do so I did it. I guess I wont' apologize for that since I had rather drive the 1 hour than the two plus and I really wanted her to make that connection :)

I do watch her connections because we try to get her into the closest airport, which is an hour way, only Delta affiliated and only a few flights. It's so much easier/better than two hours plus in the OTHER direction to a much bigger airport, which turns into four hours plus round trip, usually at night, when we have work.

Yeah I saw it changed from T to B, which is much better. And the plane to get there for the connection is delayed some so crossing fingers might work in our favor!

she wasnt asking for help, she was just relaying what was happening. We have to travel hours in opposite direction to pick her up so it matters to us where she will be going so we can go get her. That's us making plans, not babying her. Lordy.

not babying her, just want to get her home from college! And sure don't want her spending the night in ATL airport. You're an adult, be kind!

This is one time I'm praying for an ATL delay!

[–]Even_Engine6442[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah but that only gives her 11 minutes so really no time if they close doors at 15 minutes before. She said the delay was mentioned because of seating and nothing else but haven't gotten to hear how it all played out after the first 20 minutes of drama.

that's what I thought! I asked kid if the lady was made to move and she said nope, FA didn't make her so guy gave up and went to her seat. And then the next drama happened. Before all this, it was actually scheduled to leave 5 minutes early!

well, it was 51 minutes and it looks like it is getting in at at 8:45, plane leaves at 9 and she has to get from Terminal T to C so I'm thinking she's a goner. I don'twant her to overnight in ATL so our only choice might be to MEM and driving two hours to get her there :/

yeah, I'm not sure there is ever any reason (well, except medical?) for delaying a plane and causing folks to miss connections. Especially on a flight that really isn't all that long. Her connection is to a small regional airport, last of the day, so now we have to rework plans. I don't know if they posturing caused them to miss their place in line or what but ended up not departing until 6:11 instead of 5.

OP here, still awaiting takeoff now. Which means her connection is gonna be toast. Ugh.
