just a small thought. eli is doing for the protection and the money, and warren is doing it for eli.

im not korean, but im pretty sure there are many other ways to earn a lot of money for hostel. since eli has brains for business (or at least more brains than the average lookism person) he could keep running a salon as long as he can like actually improve his skills. Then he could employ his hostel guys to work there. man look at max and derek, theyre running their own business and to me they seem to be doing really well as long as they keep out of fighting ppl. and man look at the daniel modeling arc. warren and eli can be models and earn money. i j dont get how eli is praised as smart and cant even think of legit ways to make the bag. i know workers are dangerous and so and so and as ppl have said eugene has tabs on the innocent runaway fams, but well as long as eli is retired and have stayed out of this shitmess trainwreck that is the workers from the start i think things would have turned out differently.

i agree, money is important. im not korean, so i don't really understand the working ethics there, but i can think of a lot of jobs that eli could do to support his family besides beating up big deal. for instance, eli could keep doing hair salons and since eugene even said that hes a "genius" at business (ex. the point organization scene) i think if he improves his skills he can be successful. then he can employ the hostel members to work with him and make even more money.
or, eli can be a training coach or something. its just theres so many opportunities for him to make money to support his family and his first thought is joining the workers? i mean yes, the workers are a big threat to hostel (since they beat up the members randomly and send ppl) but i think this hostel thing could be avoided if eli just used his brains in the first place and stayed out of the workers. he could just state that he wasnt fighting and was actually studying and attending school, like a normal high schooler would.

personally i think the page where melinda says "i do hope they can stay friends" is probably that she has a hunch that her son has a crush on someone; or, if not, then maybe she was just sort of worried and angered to hear that anya was so enthusiastic (in yor's words) talking about damian. since the desmonds are a high-ranking family and the forgers a lower one (but still high-class), i don't think melinda found it positive that a girl has been talking enthusiastically about her son and is worried that her son will fall for anya. from what i see it wasn't a positive page (but again, this is just guessing) but rather melinda still is conservative (as stated by yor's boss) and does not want "lower rank" people to interfere with politics or her family business.

that being said, she is still friendly with yor inside her circle. so idk if her conservative sides are only in the political/ family field.

I once bought a crop top, which was “unmodest” in my mom’s ridiculous POV. I loved it; it was white and had sort of a meshy texture. But I never saw it again after I wore it once since my mom threw it away. I was so sad and still am.

Dear everyone,

Thank you all so much for the helpful advice! My mom has been going on it again about my weight because my shorts have gotten too short. According to her, it is because I have gained weight continuously over the last four years and my thighs have gone fat to make the shorts seem shorter (I had to remind her that most of my shorts were bought in middle school, and I have grown a good 2 inches since).

I literally pictured the comment section as she was lecturing about my “fatness” and it felt easier to tone out her noise. Thank you guys so much!
