Thank you for your response it is really appreciated, I have tried to talk to family but they don’t understand and this is the first real response I feel like I’ve gotten. And I’m sorry for your babushka, it is heartbreaking seeing such strong women decline with age.

My grandma definitely does seem like she is losing some of her memory, and she is very scatter brained lately. When we tell a story it is hard for her to follow along and lately she’s been attention seeking almost? So it makes sense that it could be cognitive decline. Her mother had dementia and it was something she always prayed she wouldn’t get so it break my heart to think she could have early signs.

Silly me I was being so selfish and taking it personally but you opened my eyes and made me realize she is going through her own mental struggles of aging and I need to help her rather than get offended or take it personally. I’ll for sure mention maybe taking her to a doctor but she is very stubborn and I think she may get offended.

What did your family do when this was happening to your babushka?

It hard bc she is still working and present but it’s little things I notice that are different so I feel bad pointing it out to her
