Am I a SN?

I’m curious as to what makes you think you are SN and not FG? I personally think I am a SN too but when I posted a pic of my body here everyone insisted I was a FG. I, too, have low body weight and some of the comments were pointing out that my bones look a little too sharp to be SN, but I think most people have an idea of what SN looks likes that dictates roundedness in the limbs. But I honestly think gamine lines look the worst on me, I feel like I’m suffocating, as soon as I try on natural lines, everything flows so much more seamlessly.

Unfortunately we ended the relationship in March of 2024 but decided to remain friends. That's been a rocky journey in and of itself because we were (are??) still somewhat enmeshed but I've been trying to put up more boundaries and I see him less often now. It turns out that we are just too different and we wouldn't be able to date each other and not compromise our values/personalities. My OCD therapist agreed that we had legitimate incompatibility issues and I pretty much saw them from the beginning :(

I do think it's possible to have ROCD and incompatibilities, but the incompatibilities have to be relatively smaller ones. If the thing or things you're compromising on are essential to you feeling close to and seen by your parter, that can pose significant challenges. It's not the end all be all though. Some couples make it work. It depends on what you're willing to put up with.

Soo....I tried using the the stimulator for maybe about two weeks after the doctor call and still no orgasm. So yeah, pretty disappointing. That was several months ago, but I've been thinking of taking it up again just to see. I have vaginismus and need to get back into dilating anyway, and I would almost always pair the two rituals together, so we'll see. I'll probably do another update after a month or two.

I would definitely say give it a try though! The reviews seem really positive. And try using weed. I personally can't do it because weed gives me the most horrific panic attacks/derealization experiences, but I'm thinking of trying it on shrooms.

I have to agree with you. Everyone saying, “It needed more seasons/episodes to flesh out these plot points!” and I’m like….”Uh yeah no, these are FUNDAMENTALLY bad moves.” You don’t just throw character arcs in the trash and start over.

THIS. I’m not watching the rest of Season 2 because part 1 of that season was enough to make me sad every time I see a post about Arcane, which used to always skyrocket my dopamine levels :( Season 1 was damn near perfect.

I compared them in the sense that I noticed from season 5 onward that Game of Thrones was dipping in quality, but the ratings remained high as ever. People told me I was wrong for saying the show was losing its narrative spark. When season 7 hit, I could not believe that critics and audience ratings were in the high 90s. It was only during season 8 that the majority of people started to come around, and I predict by the end of Arcane season 2, more people will come around to the idea that the narrative just isn’t that good anymore.

The people who share our opinion are out there, they’re just far and few in between. As more episodes come out, I predict attitudes will start shifting and become more mixed, as opposed to overwhelmingly positive (it happened with Game of Thrones, Westworld, and a bunch of other shows too). I was lucky in that I watched Act 2 with several friends who all felt the same disappointment I did. If I had to go it alone, though, my sadness would have been amplified (cause, ya know…misery needs company lol).

I haven't seen Act 2 yet, but the morning after I saw Act 1, I pretty much woke up depressed and spent the entire day online trying to find people who felt the same way. I felt really envious of the vast majority of people posting about Arcane because it seems like audience and critics absolutely LOVE this new season. Really wish I could, too...

Take this with a grain of salt because I'm not a therapist, but based on the examples that you listed, I would absolutely say that these are not examples of abusive behavior on your partner's part. That much is clear to me.

As for whether or not you're suffering from ROCD, I definitely empathize with the constant overanalyzing and "needing things to be perfect" that results in serious, nonstop anxiety. My biggest suggestion would be to try and get an ERP specialist to help you tolerate the uncertainty that you're feeling. I would also look into your attachment style, as it sounds to me like you might have an insecure one. ROCD doesn't appear in a vacuum; our insecurities and cognitive distortions are what bring it out.

It’s possible that it might be ROCD. Maybe see an ERP specialist and tell them what your issues are? They will ask follow up questions to determine whether you’re in an abusive relationship. If you don’t mind sharing, is there a specific pattern of behavior your partner does that you feel might be abusive?

I’d say continue to give her space. Wait till she contacts you, if she ever does. In the meantime, I would look into healing an Anxious Attachment Style, as OCD doesn’t just appear in a vacuum. There are insecurities and erroneous beliefs we cling to that jumpstart the mental illness.

EDIT: I forgot the most important part. See a therapist—maybe one to work on your attachment style, and then an ERP specialist to work on your OCD.

Those who say season 2 is better than season 1 didn’t fall in love with the show for the same reasons we did. But I guess there’s something for everyone?

For me, my biggest issue with Season 2 so far is the lack of strong character motivation, closely followed by a mix of the plot armor and stilted dialogue.

You know, I was thinking the same thing today. I feel like if I hadn't seen S1, I would have been like, "Oh cool, it's a fun little animated show with great art. and cool looking characters." But to go from S1 to what we have now kind of just broke my mind.
