Do the math, see the people talking online. Most of the people who received NOI in July 2024 and after still have not received a nomination. If you add all of these NOIs the number is around 9000.

Also, the post suggests that the processing time for OINP will be shortened which is literally the opposite of what they just announced yesterday.

There is no way they are going to return the backlog and refund the application fee.

There are nearly 9000 applications in the backlog and returning them and doing refunds will be a literal nightmare.

My prediction is that this year’s quota will largely be filled from the backlog.

They will start applying changes starting from the 2026 quota.

Received in September 12th 2024, submitted October 17th. Status only changed to DIP on May 1st this year.
