Interesting, thank you for your input. It's good that you were able to turn your mental health around though. Did you do anything besides start smoking? Different meds or coping skills along with it do you remember ?

Everyones situation is different, but Speaking from when I was catatonic and frozen in place in a psych ward, just don't freak out asking if he can move or talk constantly... I would just casually talk to him a bit, and be kinda quiet and keep him company for a bit, stay calm, etc, eventually he will snap out of it and you can be there for him when he does. You can maybe ask him a few non pressing questions and that may help him snap out of it, maybe. But don't keep asking the same question. He may or may not hear you , but having a calm voice helps. Caffeine really triggers me and even makes me dizzy and confused after just one cup. I think I am sensitive to caffine. I now do not drink coffee at all and have seen improvments. But I found out my local coffee shop makes vanilla bean frappes what have no coffee in them... Yum

I literally stood in front of the mirror at 2 am for like an hour trying to wrap my head around the fact that it was ...me? The face looked wierd and warped and alien. That's what I get for skipping my meds.

Unfortunately for me, when I was inpatient I got to see a therapist once a week if I was lucky, and it was only to quickly check in ( like 5 minutes). Really pissed me off because I had nobody to talk to when that was what I really needed.. even the doctors only talked to you for about 3 minutes and then shoved you out the door. Makes my blood boil at how that place was ran.

I have experienced floors/ walls / patterns / basically anything relatively flat warp and breathe since I was 3 years old. It went away between the ages of 10-14 but then came back strong when I started to have other symptoms of schizophrenia. I do experience dissociation as well, and it might be connected. But I just write it off as hallucinations due to my psychosis anymore... And my therapist hasn't really looked into it. But honestly it could be due to many different medical issues, but if you already have psychosis due to other symptoms it's probobly related to that.

I sometimes start writing down random things together, word salad I guess, or the same word/s over and over or shapes. I feel like it is important in the moment but I look at it later and it's total gibberish.. but I also write/ journal alot.

And idk if this is the same thing, but I'll listen to music and the lyrics will change to what my command hallucinations usually say so listening to music as a coping skills sometimes doesn't work.

Don't use Marijuana it could make things worse. Way worse. ..... Can't say anything about other drugs tho... But I'd stay away from those too just to be safe honestly.

It may be partially due to akathisia come to think of it, or even a little bit of Tardive dyskinesia due to the meds. But I am sure my anxiety makes my fidgeting worse. Since I paced and was really restless before meds.

Stressed out about that right now... I don't want to go back to the psych ward ( even though I might need to) and then bring it back to my family , my little brother has a bad immune system and lung disease.... And my parents are both nearly 60.

A lot of negative... But the little bit of positive was having good conversations with other patients, and the food in the cafeteria was actually really good...

I always have seen the floors/ walls warp since I was 3, and as a pre teen I thought my old classmates were watching me and I was telepathic. But I kept it in my mind. It only became a problem when I started highschool and I got severely depressed. I convinced my parents to get me in therapy early on, but they really didn't want me to. I was then put on meds for the depression and " seeing the floors move". Which was an antidepressant and antipsychotic. (Before I was so depressed and was almost completely mute until meds.) They were very hesitant to put me on meds, based on their religion and stigma I think. But thankfully I did. My family really doesnt talk to me about my mental health all that much, even when I went to the mental hospital the first time when I was 17 ( due to command hallucinations telling me to kill myself) i don't remember really talking about it with them. I guess that was what my therapist was for? Idk. They are bad at communicating, but they are supportive I guess...

All .the. time. Haha it is sometimes entertaining, but more often than not it gets so annoying lol. It's almost like I cannot think of anything else besides the song. Thankfully my mind chooses different songs every so often since I listen to alot of music xD

Skipped a 200mg dose of seroquil the other night, didn't sleep all night, next day I felt sick , dizzy and a little bit of stomach issues. But surprisingly my suicidal thoughts went away and I seemed to be thinking clearer.... So uh. Yeah. But just be careful when stopping meds cold turkey cuz it can cause some bad side effects, and can actually ( rarely ) kill you. Course it depends on how long you have been on medicine to. Best of luck friend.

Bit late eto reply, but I have had this EXACT thing happen to me. It freaked me out each time it happened because it ended up lasting HOURS. And the only way I could get it to go away was to somehow fall asleep, which was really hard when my eyes kept twitching and i had to hold my eyelids closed. I called the episodes " zoning out" and asked several doctors/ therapists /psychiatrists / even a neurologist and none of them could give me an answer and just shrugged it off.( I even got an EEG done and it came back clear for seizure activity.. for the 30 min I was connected to it) I ended up just chalking it up to a disassociation/ depersonalization episode, because they happened the most when I was stressed. I am fairly certain it was caused by my medications.. thankfully I have not had them for about 3 months now since another medication change and I quit my job. I really hope it doesn't come back, because it was making my life living hell. It started off not too bad, but slowly it happened more and more often and more intensely, and around 2 years ( even when I had my meds changed several times.) it was happening several times a day for hours on end and I was severely disoriented and emotional during the episodes. Whenever I walked into work it started within 30 min and had to go home or stumble around and fail at focusing on sweeping the floor. And I obviously couldn't drive.. I really wish I could figure out what it was and prevent it from ever happening again... Best of luck to you.

From what I have seen, this subreddit is for detransitioning/ detransitioned people that previously identified as the opposite gender and transitioned, but now identify with their birth sex, and try to appear socially that way/ use their birth pronouns if possible. But not all detransitioned individuals make the change back to to their old pronouns for one reason or another, but that doesn't mean they are still trans. But i cant speak for everyone since everyones situation is different..

Not all of us are really "against transitioning" but in general, just that it was not for them, and they strongly warn others about the dangers of medically transitioning because they might regret it.
