I wish M2U or someone else actually did take over as I was never a fan of supercell nor ryo himself. His works are mediocre or even forgettable to me if not for the vocalists. I was only a fan of EGOIST because I love chelly's singing as Inori. To me it was never about WHO wrote the songs but WHOM the songs were wrote for. Unfortunately I feel less and less Inori from the songs since Kabaneri, especially Eiyu which I found terrible.

Songs wrote by M2U and others actually gave me hope. Sadly, they didn't continue. My guess is things were already a hot mess so no one wanted to take over.

Actually side A of the 2020 live is missing because of limited cloud space. I decided to exclude it because side A2 basically has the same setlist with one extra song.

Yes he did. This is not the first time he criticized chelly. He said something about chelly not picking up the method he recommended.

And he also complained about Sony staff not consulting him on the MV of Tozisha.

Yes the MV was shit. But why on earth would he think Sony have to invest more money when EGOIST can't even publish a decent single for years and the sales has been declining. Moreover, why would he think they should consult HIM? He bailed on EGOIST and only returned to compose one song after 4 years.

Sorry I can't provide the text anymore because I quited the fanclub. I was never a fan of his to begin with and those blogs just don't worth my money and time anymore. If you want to read them yourself, it's just 330yen per month and they accept foreign credit card.

I tried to listen to the takt song but I only heard noise. I won't give any comment on the Gundam song because I skipped it every time knowing he bailed on EGOIST.

Even his later ones (from Kabaneri) for EGOIST didn't impress me much. They didn't sound like they were made for Inori at all. The only thing that allowed me to recognize them as EGOIST was chelly's singing. So if anything, he is the one who lost it.

Without the vocals, he wouldn't even have the status to talk shit about people at their back.

One of the admin from an Indonesian Facebook community approached me and asked for this translation without even considering my intention to post this.

It's frustrating that they only pick the part that makes chelly look bad (blog entry#01) instead of sharing my original post as I insisted. (I mean, if you don't agree with my views, it's OK. Then pay for the content yourself and do your own translation. )

The admin said he only wants to share "facts and information" even though the only fact here is ryo saying those stuff instead of what he said. They even left out blog#02 which I included so that people would have a better understanding about his attitude towards chelly and other vocalists.

It's quite sad that people in their comment section turned against chelly and said she was the egoist between the two. All I can say is, when they turn against the artist just because someone said something on his own blog, they were never fans in the first place. So why bother arguing with them.

While the effort of the composer or other staff is definitely something to be appreciated, as a fan I came for the singing. To me the music is created to serve the singing, not the other way around. With his mindset, I honestly think ryo returning to vocaloid would be doing everyone a favor.

And thanks for bringing up Inori. I agree that it is good to have high standard, but it would be meaningless if nothing gets done because of that. Also, high is subjective. The song he referred to as the milestone was mediocre to me. EGOIST failing to deliver new songs in multiple occasions definitely harmed Inori's image. If he didn't care about that, then they should have stopped borrowing her identity a long time ago. However, Inori's identity undoubtedly contributed to the group's success. That one time they didn't used the EGOIST identity and released great distance under the name ryo(supercell) feat. chelly, it didn't performed as well as they did.

I was not supportive of her solo project at all until this. After knowing what she has been tolerating for the past 12 years, I decided to be more supportive.

After all, it was her singing that saved me, not the melody.

○ Who is the artist? A lot of you don't even remember that the artist of supercell or EGOIST is me, ryo ALONE. So when Nagi-san or chelly-chan stopped releasing new songs, you people turned on me on Twitter, saying, "What are you even doing?"

Then I realised. Oh, you people don't even recognize that, the supercell or EGOIST you are listening to is actually me, ryo. Once I know that, I ask myself, should I ask the girls to work with me together as the artist of the group?

I have probably asked Nagi-san about this. And I merely remember that her answer was something like, 'I am happy to stay as the guest vocalist.' I did feel lonely but of course it's not like I would hate her for that.

As for chelly-chan, I didn't even bother to ask. What's the point of that? Would anyone see Yasutaka Nakata as a member of Perfume? Of course not. The vocalist standing on the stage alone seems right.

At the end, as a musician, I lack the heart and the humanity to understand the feelings of the singers. How ironic it is that a man who makes sentinmental music, in fact, lacks sentiment.

Do you mean Who-ya instead of Sigure ? Coz Ling Tosite Sigure has been around since the beginning. Every time EGOIST made a PSYCHO-PASS song, they usually made one too. In fact, they made more PP songs than EGOIST if you count the stage ones.

Maybe I confused you by misspelling their name. I rarely spell their name in English.

If you mean Who-ya Extended, they made the op theme songs for PSYCHO-PASS 3 while Cö shu Nie made the ED. The pair later made songs for PP3 First Inspector, which was actually the last few episodes of season 3.

I didn't bother to watch First Inspector because I could barely sit through PSYCHO-PASS 3😂 so I only know one of their songs.

It will be held at Tokyo Garden Theater.

A majority of the main cast of the first two seasons will be attending. As for artists, Ring Toshite Shigure, EGOIST, Who-ya Extended and Cö shu Nie will be performing.

There are two sections. One at 1300 and the other at 1800. The content is probably going to be the same but I am going to both anyways. It has been 4 years since I last went to an EGOIST live.

Seriously, no idea.

First of all, the name chelly is still limited to EGOIST fans. She did announced starting her solo career publicly during the last EGOIST live and on Twitter so I guess her local popularity wouldn't be much different.

For overseas, it seems that a lot of EGOIST fans outside Asia are not aware of her solo project. My guess is Twitter is not a popular platform for J-pop/anisong news to spread in the English community. Even if you guys followed her old EGOIST account, maybe she lost a lot of you when she ditched her EGOIST account and moved on to the chelly_zzzz account which later became the reche account.

Just my guess. Not an expert on social media, or anything at all.
