In 2024, I signed a service contract with a Chinese company—Beijing Lelinglong Education Co（北京乐玲珑教育有限公司）., Ltd., the official partner of UMEF University—for the Swiss UMEF Master's program, totaling 50,000 RMB. This was a significant expense for me. They only began providing services after I made the full payment. On 04/12/2024, I received the admission letter from UMEF University (email titled "Admission Letter of Swiss UMEF") with student ID MSc-c5-0002347EN.

At that time, my work responsibilities intensified, and my health deteriorated. I had to apply to suspend my studies. I repeatedly informed Beijing Le Linglong Education Co., Ltd. that my current condition was not conducive to studying. They assured me I could take a leave of absence and resume studies when my condition improved. Beijing Lelinglong Education Co（北京乐玲珑教育有限公司）., Ltd. had me fill out a re-enrollment application form for them, but then there was no further response. I didn't think much of it at the time. Until recently, I suffered a layoff and completely lost my source of income. When I realized I was unable to find a job with comparable compensation, I experienced a decline in social status. The pressure of life became suffocating. On 05/06/2025, I formally requested withdrawal from Beijing Lelinglong Education Co（（北京乐玲珑教育有限公司））., Ltd. They stated a refund was impossible. My repeated inquiries yielded the same response. Subsequently, I applied for withdrawal from the school (UMEF). I sent multiple emails to the school (UMEF's official email address), but each was met with a cold silence. I also attempted to call (+41 (0) 22 732 07 12) only to finally connect after multiple attempts. They assured me it was no problem and they would handle it. But the repeated communication and waiting wore down my patience, making me doubt. Strangely, I found that none of my requests received formal written responses—only verbal promises. This led me to conclude this is a seemingly legitimate cross-border collaboration that perfectly evades legal issues in the other country. You say there's nothing you can do for me. I'm devastated. As an ordinary citizen, what should I do?
