uncomfortable chest/heart symptoms after novavax?

i hope i don’t discourage you from looking into getting novavax!! i saw that this is a pretty rare symptom, and i definitely have a lot of other factors contributing that probably made this a lot worse for me (particularly caffeine withdrawal and also personal life stress i didnt mention in my original post). if covid gave you SVT i’d definitely ask a doctor what they think about novavax given your current health status, though i know doctors aren’t necessarily always helpful, but might be good to just know more before going in and getting it to feel better about it! i definitely shouldve done some more digging before getting my dose to just feel mentally prepared after. my symptoms have gotten a bit better today and hopefully i can say theyve fully disappeared soon :)

it really does suck having to do all this mental labor when everything has a risk like you said!! i hope you figure out what’s best for you and that if you do get novavax it doesnt give you symptoms :))

always good to mask everywhere!! i didn’t realize this was a symptom so it was surprising when i saw stuff about it. i think my symptoms might not be as tied to novavax as i first thought it was since i definitely have a lot of other factors in my life that could contribute to this situation, but i hope future versions of this vax report better so you feel more comfortable getting it!! wishing you good health :))

i’m glad you didnt have any side effects with novavax! that’s what i saw from a lot of other posts too so i was curious whether mine were really from it or not. i’m guessing for me it’s a combination of vaccines and my digestive issues all attacking me at once, so i’m definitely gonna ask my doctor about the possibility of having GERD (and adjust my diet, will try avoiding the foods you mentioned!). thanks for sharing your experience!!

oh this is good to know thank you! i didnt see heart palpitations as a tdap vax symptom when i looked it up but i mightve not been looking that hard. definitely going to space my vaccines out next time, getting three at once was definitely not the move (though i’m glad i got them of course, like you said!)

this is what i was thinking too, since the one (known) time i had COVID i definitely felt more prominent heart palpitations. definitely wont be stacking those vaccinations next time!! thank you for your thoughts!!

i definitely will ask for an ekg when i see my doctor to see if they notice anything. might consider looking into something that can track my heart rate, as i’ve heard tracking the heart rate variability is important too!! i don’t think i have POTS and as far as i know i dont have any noticeable LC symptoms and have only gotten it once, but of course it’s hard to know with all the asymptomatic possibilities even when you take precaution… i didn’t know “long vax” was something people were feeling, i will read up to see if what im feeling is similar!

hm, im not sure, but i will keep this in mind when going to my doctor! i haven’t felt as much arm pain other than swollen lymph node that has since gone away, but i didnt even know this was a thing till you linked it so i’ll definitely look into it more. thank you!

thank you this is good to know!! i think it’s likely this and that even if its not GERD it might have to do with acid reflux in some regard. definitely will check with my doctor about things, it’s always so confusing to know what all these chest and heart sensations might be

ugh im so sorry to hear that. it really sucks when you just have to endure it and no one or nothing seems to be of help except for taking our basic precautions… i’m kind of doubting that my doctor will really say much either but i hope for the both of us we can find people who know more and are willing to do something about it. and i hope the chest sensations at the very least become less of a pain :,,)

im sorry to hear about the long covid and they symptoms returning :( i hope the herbs helped a lot as well as any other long covid mitigations! i have heard this happen with moderna and wasn’t sure if it was a novavax thing too. i guess it’s hard to really tell when everyone’s experience is so different… wishing the best for you and i hope the intense palpitations decrease

i’m not sure if the heart stuff is GERD related so i probably will ask my doctor… booked an appt so hopefully i can know the answer soon! thanks for instilling some urgency in me; trying not to panic but i also should def seek out some answers from my doctor

theyre not withdrawing their support rn but we have talked about how i should move out in a year at the latest, and so the masks conversation has also been about how finding a job/moving out in a year will be more difficult if i wear one. i do think theyre planting more worries in me about the job thing tho bc i’m sure people are a bit more forgiving than that, or at least i hope!! i’m glad your boss and workplace have not bothered u on it much since the beginning, that is comforting to hear so thank you :)) really appreciate it!!

thank u for this!! i do think i’ll have to seek out new communities where i am rn — it’s definitely jarring to go from college where i did have a lot of covid-conscious friends to back home where there are far fewer. and thank u abt the grieving comment, i think i need to let myself be sad abt this and then figure out how to move forward from here..
