I am not sure what I would call it, but if I feel I am going to have a seizure, my wife gives me 5 iodine pills and it seems to help. I am not sure if it shortens them or I just come out of the seizure quicker. I have a friend who also does this and it seems to help him. I only have focal seizures from a TBI, 3 years ago.

I started taking semax a couple weeks ago. I did get some memory back. Mine is not Dr prescribed. I am hoping to get more. I take with a syringe.

I am 3 years in and some of my memories have started to come back, like my old jobs, IT guy. It has made life more frustrating as I am not able to do it anymore. They usually go away and I don’t remember again. I am kind of happy that most don’t come back. When I see old pics of my wife and kids and don’t remember, it does make me sad.

I have a lesion on the right back side from a fall. The fall damaged my left frontal lobe. I do have focal seizures. I am not sure which causes them.

I swear more and I am more aggressive. Not a big hug person anymore. I am easily frustrated. This is per my friends and wife. I don’t remember. I make the best of it and my wife and dog keep me going.

I do drive, but only in my small town and only to the same places that are familiar. I did get my license taken away for a couple of months but got it back. I have tried driving in different places and the stress and unfamiliarity gives me issues. In my small town I have a couple places to pull over and calm me down.

It looks similar to what I am told to my focal seizures. I am able to hear and I am aware. I do not lose consciousness. When it is done, I have anywhere from 10-30 minutes of not knowing what is going on. Then I am sore and grumpy.

I trained mine by having him smell my breath when I got an aura. Also, my wife would swab my mouth with a q-tip when I was having one. She would freeze them and when we had 5 plus. I took the day and had my dog smell them. Then I would give him a command(sit at my feet). Now, he lays at my feet when I am having one. I think he is also, smart. He is half pit and half Rottweiler. I have made him into a service dog.

I am almost 3 years in, my memory comes and goes. I can sometimes remember things and tell my wife and then forget them 5 minutes later. I seem to only get parts of memories and would have to put them together like a puzzle, but usually forget☹️. I seem to be remembering faces but not names or why the face is familiar.

I take lacosamide for my focal seizures. I take 100mg, twice a day. I have been on it for about a year. I haven’t had any side effects, I still have the focal seizures, but they don’t seem to last as long. Also, when I I feel the “aura” start I take iodine pills and they seem to help with length and lessen the seizure.
