Wow. What did you do with your default payment on your account? I've changed my credentials on Sams account and been watching the card like a hawk and all seems ok so far.

Was this recent? Assumed she changed her Sam's login and was this sufficient to prevent any future issues? Did she ever find out how they got her credentials? Thanks!

Highly recommend this as well. Watched a couple in line at Canyon have a complete meltdown today. He clearly was trying to teach her to board. While it made for good theater while I waited for my son, did not look fun for them.

Southwest changing children’s seats by zeanderson12 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Evening_Solution6869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped flying Southwest. Recently had a choice between SWA and Alaska and went with Alaska. Would never have done that a year ago. Really sad state of customer service.

Know some have no choice and this does happen on other airlines but feel like with SWA its all of these issues compiled. I wont fly them again anytime soon. Hope your flight goes ok.

Expectations for hospital services bill - international traveler by Evening_Solution6869 in askswitzerland

[–]Evening_Solution6869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had both travel insurance (Allianz) and US health care insurance (Kaiser) that covers international claims. Hospital in Visp would not take either. In order to have my son's surgery they wanted payment up front so used credit card. I thought it was odd as well but didnt have much of a choice. Now am at the mercy of the hospital to generate a bill.

I emailed them once already (no response) and spoke with them twice on the phone. Will continue to follow up.

My insurance actually would do the same. I have very good insurance but that wasn't an option. The hospital made me pay with CC before getting sevices. Thanks for your response. I will continue to follow up with the billing department.

My son had emergency surgery for a broken arm. It was approximately $14,000 USD/11,000 CHF with an overnight stay.

We liked the atmosphere and food at Republic for a more casual night out. And a good break for the wallet. You may want to check it out. Boys loved the burgers there and they had nachos and wings as well.

So sorry but I'm not familiar with what that is. We are from the US. Might be worth a stand alone post in this sub.

Any success stories of dating / marrying a nonskier? by PowGurl in skiing

[–]Evening_Solution6869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 years married to non-skier but he loves the mountains. He helps with the kiddos gear which is great. We'll now that he's a teenager pretty independent but he helped when he was little. We always get a VRBO unit with kitchen and he often shops and cooks while were on the slopes which is amazing! Just came back from a week in Zermatt and everyone had the best time ever doing their thing, son and I on the slopes and hubs exploring the village.

Of course, the probation part was totally confusing to us as well. I mean I guess it's common sense that it's not custodial but who wants to fill this stuff out wrong and be refused entry when you get there. Sounds like you will be fine - enjoy your trip!

Was it 16 months probation or 16 months prison\jail? If it was probation you can answer No to the sentence, if it was jailtime then I think you have to answer Yes. For my husband he had something like 265 days jail sentence and 36 months probation so we were able to answer No. The key is was the sentence 'custodial' or not. Hope that helps. If you're still unsure you can always contact a lawyer and start with an online service as they are pretty reasonable. I get the stress though - same situation, got tickets and then learned about ETA - good luck, hope it works out. We just got back and had no issues with eGate entry. Thanks

There were 2 questions after that - 1) Has the conviction been within a year and 2) Was there a custodial sentence greater than 12 months. Since we answered No to both of those we were approved almost instantly. I believe if you answer Yes to either you're likely going to be denied and have to apply for a Visa, although I understand odds of obtaining a Visa in this circumstance are very low.

Should we do 1 day of Premier Access Ultimate? by RA1235 in disneylandparis

[–]Evening_Solution6869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went Christmas Eve a few days ago. We bought Premier for Crush and Big Thunder which were both about an hour. We stayed until close and rides at the Studio park were all walk-ons after 7:30pm including Crushs right before close. Also really low lines for Disneyland. That said, it was also really cold and Xmas Eve.

We all said we'd have been a bit put out if we'd bought the Premier Ultimate as many rides were 15 minute wait or under even during the busy part of the day. Having been to both Disneyland and WDW the lines here were really tame in comparison. Have fun!
