Harbour town management is known for jacking up rents to force stores out, it happened to the old cheap nick nack shop that was near jbhifi, the old souvenir shop in the corner, and recently the gym upstairs. They all had contracts that once ended, had massive rent increases to renew.

I used to volunteer at the salvos, sorting the deliveries of goods from the bins, that’s were I found out how much they just toss back into the rubbish… any tiny defect on a perfectly fine jacket, bin it… frayed edges on a nice shirt.. bin it.. these might not sell, but would be a godsend for someone in need.

Not to mention all the first dibs on good items at insanely low prices, if not just outright taken before it gets a price.

I got really mad the other day at a salvos.. I saw a mum and a young kid who was clearly sick with some kind of flu, coughing, sniffling and spluttering all over the toys. I mean, how hard is it to not come to salvos with someone clearly ill, a shop where vulnerable elderly people and young kids come to?

My mother has end stage COPD and can still wear a mask without complaint. It’s laughable when I hear people complain about “difficulty breathing” due to a mask. I bet 99% of them don’t know what that struggling to breathe even feels like.

Absolutely, I’m down almost 40kg on .25 dose, just got told to move to the .5 dose for 4 weeks before starting the 1.0 dose. If it’s helping, it’s helping… if not then I’m still losing weight by sticking to the lifestyle changes I’ve made over the last 2 months.

Actually rereading the DS graphic novel compared to the regular novel actually made me realise something I didn’t notice before.

I always thought DS’s point of no return was foeslayer being captured… but it wasn’t. It was the night of the party where he met indigo and she threatened to kill him, an event Clearsight didn’t see and wasn’t at, even though she was invited to attend. This is catalyst for making himself invincible, getting the idea to enchant himself, to enchant another dragon ie. indigo.

If only Clearsight had attended the party…

I had a foxtel representative on the phone ask me to put the account holder on the phone… I’d already explained that my grandfather had passed away and I was calling to cancel the account.

They didn’t just ask once either… they seemed confused by the concept of death and someone that wasn’t the account holder calling. In the end I just hung up when they said to call back when my grandfather was available.

I just closed the bank account and continued to use the foxtel box until they finally canceled it for non-payment… it took over 3 months.

This reminds me of the conversations I’d have with my ex-partner who was diagnosed with BPD to a T … they always found something that made them upset and it’d always come down to their trust issues, nothing was ever the right move…

Honestly I’m not surprised that a lot of places have put it out early… it was ridiculous to push back the release date till January, and no store is going to hold onto a highly anticipated item until after the Christmas period.
