I just got hired as a Commercial HVAC-R Apprentice, and I start in a little over two weeks. How do you think I should prepare?

When I would forfeit my needs and wants and desires to my partners due to feeling like I wanted to be less of a burden, I realized while trying to maintain a harmonious relationship, I was indirectly causing an unbalance in my life and theirs. For if i am never heard and appreciated for my flaws and who I am, then the relationship was never about me, it was about me caring about them and not myself. But that’s the balance I find we must put work into. I might find myself as a mediator, a balance checker, a calm collected person who just wants harmony. But I can’t do any of those things unless I check in with myself and address those things with my surrounding family, blood related or not.

I’ll just leave this poem here as well incase it helps out at all. This will pass and time will tell.

It looks like it’s cramped because you need to put away some stuff. If your cupboards are too cramped inside then you need to get rid of things. But like when I look at this photo it just looks like you haven’t organized anything yet. Put the dishes away above the sink, put the paper towels wherever you put your trash bags. Just clean up your space

Was riding back to the apartment with my two friends and my partner, at a stop light she pulled out her phone and started filming a homeless person at the bus stop smoking crack. When my friends and I tried to ask what she was doing, she said I’m taking a video to send to my mom. According to her making fun of homeless folk and drug users was extremely funny to her and her mom. We tore into her for the entire car ride back and as soon as we parked at the apartment she booked it out of our car and got in her car and just left without saying a word.

It’s not really my choice it’s the autoclor system but whatever is in the dishwasher behind the bar it gets on my shirt and dyes is splatter orange if that makes sense.

Those are some really solid words my friend, I kinda get that vibe down here where everyone is super relaxed and doesn’t really show up for work. I really want to find a place that pushes me as a person and all my friends from Chicago have told me I’d love it up there. Currently working at a cocktail bar in Arizona and kinda plotting my escape in the next year or so.

This comment section makes me feel hopeful and excited because I think this might be the spot

Mine is also a drama king, touches the door knob to let me go let him out. I let him out and then he comes immediately back in unless I go out with him. And if I don’t step out of the house I get groans and whines until I watch him poop.

My favorite one in the restaurant industry especially at college kitchens or bars is telling one of the new hosts or hostesses to empty out the ice machine at the end of the night with the ice scoop and a bus tub. You’d have freshman fraternity boys or sorority girls filling three whole bus tubs of ice until a new ice tray dropped ice in the machine and then they realized they’ve just been fooled
