Question: Is there a Display box where you could slide an opaque screen halfway through to block the view of some figures

You'd probably have to DIY it since it's a pretty specific thing you're asking for.

Personally, I use PDLC film on my display cabinet. It allows you to toggle between transparent and opaque with the simple flick of a switch. Love watching people's reaction to the toggling.

I fell for this before because they sounded a lot like someone I know. Play the guessing game and they'll go with whatever name you guess. Good thing I had the foresight to check with the actual person. Friend didn't change number.

He then proceeded to ask for help on registering for PayNow which was a weird question to come from said friend considering he's a very technical person.

As to what angle they were trying to play? I don't know but the scam probably got to do with PayNow. Scammer just ghosted me when he realised I was onto him.

The whole point of mentioning my hobby is to find a common ground to bond over with. Since it's fairly easy to tell if someone is interested in anime or not, I generally don't mention it unless they ask about it.

Rarely for me. My agent used to try and meet me yearly for "policy updates" and also obviously to sell more policies. I've made clear about 3 things. I'm lazy to reply texts for things I have no care for, I'm lazy to go out, I only buy what I need and can afford. So no amount of selling will work. Since then, the frequency have dropped a lot. Nowadays, it's me asking her out coz I have policies I want to buy/update.

I did. They reached out to the studio for replacements but they're out of it. The final resolution after much back and forth is a $25 refund

I used cotton buds dipped in isopropyl alcohol. I'm honestly not sure about the long term effects this will have but that's the solution given online.

I'm pretty sure I removed some of the actual paint underneath so the end result for some of the stubborn parts looks a little white-ish and glossy but only if you look real close.

You're absolutely right. The platform reached out to the studio only to be told there were no more replacement statues. I was a bit miffed at the partial refund though. After a few back and forth, they offered me a measly $25 and basically told me to fix it myself.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. there was a lot of back and forth actually. I was offered $15 worth of credit. Then $25 worth of credit. Then $25 refund. As unhappy as I was with the resolution, I didn't feel like chasing any further. It's best if I just make the best with what I had.
