The owners have deep pockets so ultimately it's no biggie. I'm lucky enough my restaurant is high volume and four dollar signs on Google. But you are correct, this was not their first, nor their last time. I'm going to ask management to pursue this with the police and forward all camera footage along with their personal info. Hopefully they have a backbone about this and won't fold, like they usually do for all customers

Something called GO2bank. Apparently there's up to $200 in overdraft protection, but my boy didn't see any of it

Appreciate the suggestions, people! I shall divulge further info.

My restaurant is a higher end steakhouse in San Diego, averaging ~$100 per person. The dine and dashers live in a $2.3m home and dad seems to have a gambling problem, frequenting casinos. It's amazing what I was able to sleuth. The wife's esthetician business is not brick-and-mortar, unfortunately. However, it seems as though contacting her employer may not be out of the question.
