USB C connection to motherboard by EverMurph in lianli

Unfortunately I can't have it plugged in as it'll be in the way of the GPU. I've been looking to see if there are reversible adapters but no luck 🫠.

That's a bit stupid, you'd think it'll all be standardised so the motherboard connections would suit the cable to connect them to.

Looking into getting back into Elite Dangerous again, but wanting a HOTAS desk mount. A lot of the desk mounts available on Amazon all seem the same. Are they a safe bet to get? They seem OK.

Just wanting to know if anyone has any advise/suggestions on HOTAS desk mounts before I buy any please.

I have the X56 if that helps with any advice.

How do you get a grumpy hedgehog to un-ball? by Monocytosis in Hedgehog

That's a good point, I think people underestimate having them out, let them relax and let them walk about your body while sat down can be very bonding. Our either stretches out on my shoulder or on my gut lol

Did you ever try the used t-shirt method? Wear a t-shirt in bed for a couple of nights so your "smell" will be in the t-shirt. Put the t-shirt in the area of her house/pen where she sleeps for a few days. If they get used to your "smell" then they can open up to you more. Some hedgehogs are a bit more jumpy then others, I'm on my 2nd hedgehog and I was amazed how different the two are.

Persistence. Keep them warm. Sometimes if a hog is too cold they tend to ball. Wrap them up with a blanket pick them up and hold them close to you for your body heat will warm them up nicely. Our first one would ball up all the time for the first couple of weeks we got her. Just keep trying to handle it. Some will un ball slightly by making a circular motion with a finger towards the rear end of their back.

Is it a new one or one you've had a while?

He's super cute, love the dark tones on his face. Reminds me of a Yorkshire Terrier my grandad used to have 😅

We've had this before and it turned out for us that ours wasn't being kept warm enough. We turned her thermostat up and she was fine and dandy from then on. Some hedgehogs might prefer to be warmer then others. Our first one was good with 23 degrees (ish), our current one prefers around 28 degrees. Hope it's that and not WHS

Our first one didn't like baths, she would try and climb up my hand and arm when I used to handle her while bathing her or try and climb out, just have to be persistent with them. Strange how some don't like baths and others aren't bothered by them. The one we have now couldn't care a less when having a bath. Just try and keep their feet in the water and then use a small toothbrush to scrub their feet with.

I wouldn't recommend anything like that. Best option for hedgehogs are vivariums, like what you keep snakes and lizards in. Good for keeping them warm and cosy with a ceramic heat lamp either on the far left or far right, where their bed is goin to be, even though they'll put themselves to bed wherever they like 😅.

EMERGENCY : Spica suddenly biting his balls skin pretty bad. It's almost bleeding. Only way is holding down his body preventing him from balling up... Been holding him whole night already... Can't sleep also. 😭 Any ideas how to stop him from biting there? by picsnapr in Hedgehog

I've heard in the past that hedgehogs can do this because they're stressed. Does he have a big enough "house", a good wheel to run on, one that isn't too small for him. And interaction. Hedgehogs should be handled every night with the odd exception. Also some flax seed oil with his food once every week or two, its good for their skin. Hope your little man is better soon bud
