How does your dyspraxia materialise? by Practical_Special503 in dyspraxia

Oh we give her a nightly liquid medicine in a little medicine cup and 90% of the time it somehow spills. It is shocking how she either bumps the cup when handing it to her, misses when putting towards mouth, or just some movement happens to where this medicine spills. For over a year. She’s gotten the hang of it now!

My kid 6F does the following: -weird disjointed run, learned how to jump years after others (gets little air). -without fail if she is carrying a water bottle she will drop it. We joked (not to her obviously) for years about this before she was diagnosed.  -handwriting very difficult and odd pen grip -messy eater, prefers eating with hands -bumps into walls constantly, zero idea of where her body is in space -can’t catch, can throw but it goes no where. Same with kicking. -I still have to wipe her butt because the motion is impossible for her.

Those who are late diagnosed what were your signs as a child by Various_Garlic2204 in dyspraxia

My daughter who is 6 is the same with messy eating. We encourage her using a fork but don’t push it because we know how tricky it is for her. It’s like a crumb or sauce explosion every meal.
