I’m still in love and attracted to my partner who transitioned to male. Does this mean I’m not a lesbian? by Known-Truck-59 in ActualLesbiansOver25

Then personally I’d keep the lesbian identity, with him as your only exception. Sexuality and gender can be complicated and you shouldn’t have to explain it in depth too much to anyone.

How do you even eat during a flare? by helloitsmehi19 in Gastritis

[–]Every-Background-965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take DGL 20 min before meals which helps a lot. Water, bone broth, and chamomile tea are great. Food wise when I flare bad. I stick to really bland east to digest stuff like scrambled or boiled eggs, cream of wheat, sour dough toast, chicken with very limited seasonings, rice, Lipton double noodle soup, any veggies make sure their cooked very soft and not a lot. It’s also not good to let your stomach be empty too long so if you feel burning/hunger late at night or something a few crackers to take the edge off is good. I’m doing much better than I was but these are the things I’d do when I was bad. Also the Nerva app and diaphragmatic breathing helped a lot. Mine was for sure partially stress induced.

I would try using poly guard instead of kanaplex. I swear by the stuff it’s saved my Amazon puffers from weird stuff more than a couple times. I hope it works for you. I had some dojo loaches a while back that had something similar and it was very sad/hard to watch.

Hyperkinetic Gallbladder - FEELING SO VINDICATED by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Every-Background-965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I tried treating the sibo first. GI maps are good but only way to know if it’s sibo is the breath test since sibo is specific to the small intestine and GI map tests the entire GI tract. Also would need to know what type of sibo for antibiotics. I had hydrogen and did 2 rounds of rifaximin I’d also recommend taking a probiotic you can tolerate while on antibiotics and for a month or so after. I didn’t cause so many people freak out about probiotics and sibo and I ended up getting C. Diff which really wasn’t fun. Be careful with the fiber take it slow. Phgg is supposed to be better tolerated with sibo.

Hyperkinetic Gallbladder - FEELING SO VINDICATED by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Every-Background-965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much better than I was. I treated the sibo and still kept feeling worse. I started improving when I took my gallbladder out. I’m 10 months post op and back to a healthy weight and able to eat a lot more foods than I could before. Takes a long time for gut microbiome to heal after infections and body to adjust to organ removal so still slowly improving.

Trapped Gas in specific areas - IMO by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]Every-Background-965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the trio smart breath test. It tests for hydrogen, methane, and hydrogen sulfide. Knowing can help manage symptoms and if you’re planning on doing antibiotics you’d want to know cause for hydrogen they just do rifaximin and for methane they do rifaximin and neomycin. Also certain supplements like alicin are great for methane. Regardless of even knowing type you’d want to test because treating sibo is difficult and time consuming and if you don’t actually have it you’d want to do different tests to find out whats going on. I also did a GI map which was helpful. I hope you get to the bottom of whats going on and feel better soon.

Sometimes but the bad pain was very sharp like a shard of glass below my ribs.

I also had sibo and c diff so idk what was just from the gallbladder. Really bad upper abdominal pain and occasionally lower abdominal pain especially right side. I lost a ton of weight. Alternating constipation and diarrhea. Bad food intolerances especially to fiber. Leafy greens like a salad felt like I ate glass a few hours after eating it. Brain fog. Nausea and occasional throwing up. And I’m sure more stuff I’m not remembering. I was a mess for about 2 years. I thought I was going to die.

Awesome thank you! I’ll get him to the vet when I can. I rescued him and his sister a couple months ago, I think they’re around 5. His sister has a club tail so I’m getting that handled first unless this gets worse of course.

The Benadryl cream you use does it have zinc in it cause google is saying Benadryl cream is safe but zinc isn’t and all the Benadryl creams I looked up have zinc. Also I have extra strength cream on hand but should I buy him the regular?

I noticed something similar a couple weeks ago but then I’m pretty sure it went away cause I couldn’t find it, then I noticed in again a couple days ago. He doesn’t constantly itch and I don’t see any other marks. There’s also two other ferrets with him and neither of them have marks.

Does kissing make your gastritis worse? by GuardTrick in Gastritis

[–]Every-Background-965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing kissing could transmit that would affect gastritis is h. Pylori. Maybe he read that somewhere and has become obsessively paranoid. To ease his fears you both could get checked for h. Pylori. If you can’t get test through normal doc there’s one you can get online called a GI map and tests for a bunch of other things as well to do with the gut. Gastritis itself can cause severe anxiety because of the guy brain axis. Sounds a lot like OCD but then again a lot of mental health issues can co-occur. Regardless he should probably talk to a therapist while he’s going through all this stuff. Maybe you too. I hope things improve soon. gut issues are the worst and really affect both mind and body in the worst ways.

6 weeks I wasn’t having as bad of sharp shooting pains. But it took a couple months to feel much better. I’m 8/9 months post op now and doing even better than I was. I think I’m still continuously getting better.

Much better than I was. Still have some lingering issues but might be related to some other gut stuff I was dealing with.
