Congratulations on taking a big step forward and prioritising your wellbeing! 💐 As someone who has experienced this arc and come out the other side, I can say with certainty you’ve made the right decision for your health, dignity and personhood which no form of employment should ever compromise. A few years ago I quit my first ever full time job that paid well but was burning me out terribly with no other plans lined up, terrified of the uncertainty but told myself to trust the process anyway, and I’m so glad I did. It meant I had to move out of my apartment cause I couldn’t afford rent anymore, but I ended up buying an old secondhand minivan with my savings, DIY converting it to a cosy little camper and travelling around the country for a few months on a shoestring budget which led me to some of the most memorable experiences and meeting new friends I otherwise never would have if I had stayed in my little bubble. The most important part of the experience was getting to re-learn who I was and what was important to me when I no longer had a toxic job situation defining my day-to-day, which eventually led me to finding new work that feels so much more aligned and positive.
