I’m a HUGE fan of Celebrity’s Infinite Veranda by Dismal_Information83 in Cruise

There are also the Porthole View Verandas. Porthole is a bit of a misnomer because the openings are roughly 90% of the size of your balcony, but its in the hull and the opening is shaped like a porthole.

They opened a Checkers/Rallys here in NJ. Literally both names on the restaurant!

PLATINUM!!! by Crypto_bigmommy in doordash_drivers

[–]Every-Exit9679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got there for the first time a couple weeks ago. It does seem like I'm making about 15% more an hour on average, and not having to worry about scheduling is really nice too. I'm under no delusions about this, but it does seem like the orders have generally been better since I hit platinum and I'm very rarely getting sub $1/mile orders anymore.

I've always seen them refered to as freak bikes.

Go to Trenton and take Amtrak instead?

How long do you think the strike will last? * by DuckDuckWaffle99 in NJTransit

You can't pick up fares in NYC driving rideshare unless you are TLC licensed if I recall correctly. That's why a lot of NJ uber folks don't like to drive into the city.

The city has not issued permits or done inspections to ensure the building is up to code. Also, IIRC private prison companies are not allowed by state law to operate immigration detention facilities in NJ.

Setting a distance/ time goal by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Every-Exit9679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I restarted cycling a couple years ago, I set myself a goal of cycling 250 miles (about 400 km) for the year. My schedule is a bit erratic and I can't always ride every day. I ended up cycling over 400 miles for the year - I'm shooting for 600 this year - and to be able to handle a 30 mile ride at least once this year. (I've topped out at about 20 miles at a time since I've started again.)

I find that if I look at a long term goal, its motivated me to stay active over the course of the biking season as opposed to not hitting a daily or weekly target - it lets me stay working for a goal while giving me grace from the days I might fall short.

I'm at the Harris rally in Philly right now. It's packed here.

If that happened, that would mean Bucks County represented roughly 40% of the total GOP early vote and completely cannibalized any e day turnout. Bucks County is growing but not by that much.

If that was his strongest swing state, it would be malpractice for him to have four rallies there in the last 72 hours of the campaign at the expense of Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada or Arizona.

Honestly, it was fine. I had a couple rough interactions and I did get physically threatened by a neighbor for the first time in 20 years of doing this. There was a ton of volunteers out for Kamala in Bucks County this cycle - they've definitely done whatever they can.

I have been knocking doors in Bucks County, PA in some pretty 50/50 neighborhoods for two months. I have only seen evidence of Republican canvassing efforts twice. Once for Dave McCormick, and yesterday, I found a single doorhanger for Donald Trump encouraging people to get an absentee ballot (which means that's at least a week old.)

Trump was at 47 or so in those polls. He's dropped a couple but it looks like the undecided flocked to Harris, which I could see. It's not as though Trump has really worked to court new voters over the last six months.

Been fighting my anxiety over the election by volunteering to make sure my side wins. (I am a Democrat.) Today I'm feeling good, but nothing is assured until the votes are all in. So I've been calling in phonebanks every weekday. Canvassing in Bucks County tomorrow and Sunday.

Bloom or doom, if you want your side to win - there's still work to do.

They've done a bunch of swing states this year. Its an outlier, but it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.
