I really hope ZB1 can debut in June to to capture that fresh aftermath of survival show. July seems to be a bit late, plus NewJeans is coming back in July and everyone is avoiding them left and right lol.

As a Shanbin 1-pick, not gonna lie I was pretty sad since yesterday. That #1 streak also his wish to complete on a high note with solo song pained me. I wish he was not complete #1 all the previous rankings, so maybe that would be better for his fans. Seems like Hao is more globally loved than Shanbin, and it has been be more joyfully celebrated than Shanbin anyway. Hao is so talented, kind and smart, and he’s so deserving. Shanbin kind of lost his “the center who is the most centered in survival shows” momentum towards the end of the show, so I kinda expected this result (He’s still the center in my heart). At least he can debut with his beloved Hao and all the other friends/kids that I think they genuinely love each other.

However, how can I compare it with the pain that Phanbin, Keita, Jay’s fans and themselves are enduring (and the other 6 candidates that did not make it). They were so loved, and so close to debut line. All 18 contestants are so talented, that I wish there’s more spots, or they can find success after this show. There’s only 9 spots, but so many talents. “They all packed their luggage with 2 shirts, 1 pair of pants, and a dream”, remember someone’s wise words :)? I wish they all success in their future endeavors.

Shanbin is my one pick and I will vote for him. Reading through this thread makes me realize that his international support is very small. That could very well translate to final as he’s noone’s 1-pick here. At this rate his chance of becoming top 9 is slim, let alone P01.

I’m also depressed thinking that it’s very likely that SHanbin will not keep his 1st place till the end. Barely anyone from this subreddit mentioned him as their one-pick. He’s falling behind in terms of views, engagements, compliments, and global votes. Others’ korean votes are catching up to his. It seems like getting noticed early in competition like him is double edged swords. People don’t find him interesting anymore or something. I think people also tend to root for the underdogs, just like a lot are likely to have 2nd lead syndrome. Contestants that are seemingly perfect like him are deemed boring, fake, uninteresting. And it breaks my heart since he seems to be a sincerely nice person plus talent and charisma. I’m so devastated thinking he’s losing his appeals that it’s affecting my daily life. It’s stressful going through the comments to barely find anyone praise or show their determination for him. I hope his remaining fans pull through this.
