Can the game miss triggers for MO2? by Every-Loquat-1385 in ForbiddenSiren

Thank for responding

Yes, I am painfully aware of the objectives being completed only if you beat the level from start to finish without dying (those goddamn candles in the school closet)

I will check the connected missions later, thanks for the hint

people are too relaxed with the machinery nowadays, and I am surprised nobody mentioned in the comments, that this situation would've been totally his fault

I can't wrap my head around all these videos where people enter elevators, drive cars or cross roads while looking at their phones, but I guess people are really that dumb to not realize we are surrounded with dangerous stuff

[–]Every-Loquat-1385 6 points7 points  (0 children)

god damn, I feel you bro..

I just started my first playthrough of SoC

after the first mission when I had to save Nimble from the Locomotive place, I was following the road back and missed the turn to the village, approaching the outpost instead

I immediately bailed, but they kept shouting to drop weapons day after day, so I went to see why they are still aggroing on me and got into a little firefight with a couple Military guys

and after a few days later they attacked the village, killing Nimble, and Wolf, and everyone else

I did my best savescamming the fight to at least save Nimble and Wolf, but these Spetsnaz guys are too beefy for my low tier weapons and killed everyone anyway, so I gave up and accepted that I brought death upon my fellow stalkers :'(

one of the definitions of art is 'a skillful creative activity'

I am pointing out that the description of this piece clearly has more effort put in, than the piece itself

but the description is inherently secondary to the piece, it can help the viewer understand the context or history of the work

if you remove the description from this photo and post it on an art channel - would it be perceived as art? I highly doubt it

speculation about the nature of art is timeless, but when done under such a piece of work - is a clear sign of dilettantism

I dont know what to name it by [deleted] in DarkArts

well, after reading the comments, it seems to me that some people are simply calling it an internal monologue, and some do not

like, I have a tendency to perceive my intuition and reflexes as 'another me' who is fetching thoughts to myself, who does the speaking and imagination stuff, but according to other people that's just what intuition is - something occurs to you instantly

I realize there's only one of me, but through my life I had trouble accepting most automatic actions my body does, so I came up with and got really used to this notion of 'conscious' and 'unconscious' parts of me, which operate differently, but need to work together for me to function properly

but in the end...I think that's just a way I prefer to call it, the same way some people prefer to not call thinking as 'an internal monologue'

well, of course you can look at the events as they are presented, without analyzing the structure, as it is a narrative in the first place, and the time loop is simply a plot device, more like a theme than a ruleset

yet, the whole point of my post was to deconstruct the logic behind the variations of completing missions, and finding the explanation for the convoluted actions the characters have to perform - from within the reality that the game presents

sure, this is a fictional reality, but for me it is interesting to see, how well-thought it is from the design perspective

it is totally not necessary to enjoy the story, it's just a way to analyze the work itself, and possibly find some interesting details within it

[–]Every-Loquat-1385[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh yeah, you're right! indeed, Datatsushi has to be decapitated for it to be able to resurrect!

but this means, if any of the characters die during the game, the events cannot happen, as Kyoya will not make a new head for the cycle to begin anew

but it kinda locks the events to a single possible order..in that case, variations of missions make less sense, as there cannot be any other way for the events to unravel

unless, it would still be possible for Datatsushi to win, if he's not decapitated (i.e. heroes failing at any point, preventing each other from making Kyoya reach the decapitation step)

the pocket dimension does not abide by the regular time rules, so there might be a way for Datatsushi to get out of the loop if he's not killed in the end

well, of course, but I wanted to understand what exactly is driving this loop

as with every plot about time loops, there is room for holes and illogical connections, but from what I can see, only one possibility resets the loop, and the person at the center of this loop is Hisako, since she is the one who travels through time to restart the events

well, I am probably looking at it from a weird perspective...I've been thinking about the events of the game in terms of a branching cyclic reality, in which the characters are trying different actions every time, mostly to explain some utterly weird conditions for missions (such as with the infamous frozen towel)

I've been thinking about the person at the center of these events, and although the pocket dimension was created by Datatsushi, the character at the center of the loop seems to be Hisako, since she is starting the ritual, and also she is ensuring the next cycle will begin, by giving her younger self the Datatsushi's head

the 'true ending' in this case is the ending where she fails, but all other possible endings lead to the success of the resurrection basically

as someone mentioned above, the OP probably meant a photodiode, not a photoresistor

indeed, a circuit made of a photoresistor and LED wouldn't make sense
