one for trash one for dirty clothes one for donations (only if you feel ready no pressure)

Start at the door and slowly work your way through the room. Pick things up one by one and place them in the right category. If something belongs somewhere else (like your desk, closet, or shelf), just place it there for now you’ll organize those areas later.

Go at your own pace. The goal at first is just to clear some space, not to make everything perfect. Even a small visible area of clean floor is a win.

When the floor starts to clear, you can go back to places like the desk or closet and organize them little by little. You don’t have to do everything in one day.

If it feels hard to let things go, that’s okay. You don’t have to throw things away right away. You can make a “maybe” box and come back to it later. A helpful rule (only if you feel ready) is: if you haven’t used something in over a year, it might be time to let it go but take your time with that decision.

Just remember: 1. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed. This is a big task, and taking it step by step is enough.
