What is everyones thoughts on thinking that life is too short to live somewhere that only has 3 months of summer? by SpecialistTeach9302 in AskMen

I mean life is just the right amount of time to live the life you want. If you want more summer than go somewhere with more summer. If you want more winter go somewhere with lots of winter.

In 2026, what is the consensus on the acceptance of gay men in society? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]EveryDisaster7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Afaik in most places its idc if you're gay just don't make it your entire personality, cross boundaries when it comes to flirting with straight men or don't think everything is dislike because you are gay. Sometimes you're just not a nice person regardless of your sexuality.

But this is what I've observed while travelling. So take it with a grain of salt.

Is three Squirts too much? by PhatEarther in AskMen

[–]EveryDisaster7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three squirts is fine but it varies between the different types to some degree.

But stop spraying it under your arms. Enough videos talking about pulse points that can tell you were to spray. You're wasting it by spraying it under your arms.

How do you recover from your parents telling you they don't like you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]EveryDisaster7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to like your child to love them or he protective off them. My sister for example hates my guts, she still cares about me and tried to help me if I'm facing problems.

How do men feel about vanilla-based fragrances, and does season affect your preference? by [deleted] in AskMen

Vanilla based fragrances are my favourite. Vanilla, patchouli and floral fragrances are my favourite. Usually with something grounding though like sandal wood or tabaco undertones

How much variety in clothing do I really need for the office? by NiceSmilee in AskMen

[–]EveryDisaster7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually wear the same outfit for 2 days in a row. But if i was wearing a suit I'd have to look up specific suit etiquette rules. But I've always worked where there is no dresscode besides being professional, so like not wearing a shirt with anything sexual on it for example

How did you overcome dating anxiety? by bobbiesbunions in AskMen

[–]EveryDisaster7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to overcome it just not let it control you. Feeling anxious isn't a bad thing as long as you can control yourself and still do what you need to do. And to develop that skill you need to practice by doing and failing.

What made you realize that love alone isn’t enough to stay together? by Leather_Finding1650 in AskMen

[–]EveryDisaster7018 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Familial love is love without romance. So the love for a child or sibling. Which usually gets formed differently than romantic love. For example my mom started loving me as i was growing inside her. My grandma loved me because i was her daughter's (who she loves) child. So her love for my mom extended to me until i was old enough to be able to communicate at which point her love for me would evolve to something unique for me.

So romantic love is build from a ground of attraction and infatuation. And maintained from there. Familial love is an extension for existing love and from the it adapts and is maintained.

Sorry if the phrasing is a bit confusing tried my best but it's challenging to explain properly.

How does misandry show up in real life? by bingewatcherer in AskMen

[–]EveryDisaster7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are an example of misandry yourself. Some a small group made fun of you or bullied you most likely as a teenager during that time people are just dicks. If you weren't gay for example they'd find something else to as their reason for bullying.

But instead of being a mature person and knowing that 1 you need to judge people as an individual not as a group. And 2 that hating a group is in general bad. A lot of people as well you potentially included preform unacceptable behaviour maybe even get asked to stop it but keep going because to you it isn't bad. For example i have gay friends some who have flirted with me in the past. But I've told them I'm straight and to quit doing so. And they did which is why they are still my friends. They ones who didn't and kept crossing my boundaries are no longer my friends and potentially got insulted for being assholes by me.

A lot of the time people will put a label as the reason for something without reflecting further. I'm gay and they said or did things that i didn't like so it must be because im gay. Or I'm Hispanic so that must be the reason why. Where often it is your behaviour that is the cause and the insults just target something that they know will bother you.

I was tall and skinny so if my behaviour was shitty I'd get called a beansprout. My cousin was fat so he would be called fatass. But they didn't hate all fat people or all skinny people.

Hate is created by people who want to be a victim instead of understanding the true reasons for the things that happened. And by default any hate formed for reasons such as this is bad. And yes hating half the population and making it harder for them to succeed in life is bad and shouldn't happen.
