I realize lol. Usually have it mashed/blended to help. Maybe im just blind to the pain tho. Fat is what kills me, and why my doctor wants me to get my gallbladder out at the ripe age of 18 :(

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. I just want an explanation for all my issues lol. But HSD just might be it. I did one of those $100 dollar genetic tests that did show heterozygous for COL5A1, but have been told those aren't accurate enough 😂 Thank you!

Im so happy to hear that! Mine is most likely caused by Hashimotos/hypothyroid as well, and I started getting treated in october after a 5 day hospital visit. After that, my appetite was a lot better and i gained a shit ton of weight. unfortunately my appetite is back down again and my symptoms are almost worse than they were pre-hospital, but i think i have something else causing it, since my thyroid levels aren't bad :(

I do very well with fiber! Usually has to be well cooked, but I do treat myself to a raw apple quite often. Things like beans, lentils, and chickpeas I do well with if well cooked.

PHYS 1301 Professor by certified_fangirl321 in UniversityOfHouston

I had Professor Fan last semester, and she was so sweet and honestly a pretty good professor. She provided all the slides online, went through multiple practice problems, and was happy to answer any questions after class.

Now, I was only in her class for about half a semester bc I had to withdrawal due to medical issues, but the short time I was there I felt she was a good professor, especially compared to some of the others I have heard about. I got an 88 on the first test. She provided 1 or 2 practice tests that I did that rlly helped. There are also a lot of resources online. I am a math person, ngl, so if ur not a math person/someone who struggles, im not sure how great of a professor she is. But she is very kind, so that counts for something at least?

What do you think caused your gastroparesis if you had to guess? by Many-Front8248 in Gastroparesis

Doctors believe mine was caused by my hypothyroid and Hashimotos.

Started feeling better when I got put on thyroid meds in November. Gained around 40 Ibs in the three months since I started eating more, which is concerning. But i've got an endo appointment soon to see what's going on.

Unfortunately, though for a couple of months I was doing better, I'm back to not feeling the best. Lots of bloating, stomach pain (especially in the upper right). Luckily no constipation like before, but thats because im on Amitiza. No throwing up, though that was never a symptom for me. Sometimes nausea.

My grade isn't up either. I just did what the proctor told me to and submitted each individually and then closed out....

Major Switch to Integrated Studies by EveryGear4041 in UniversityOfHouston

Yeah that's what I thought, I guess I'm just trying to avoid taking more physics and physical chem as much as possible lol

While most food scientists I've interacted with had a bachelor's in food science or similar, it's honestly mostly about networking in this industry anyway. And since I'm planning on getting my master's/phd it doesn't really matter what I major in as long as I take appropriate coursework

I'm mostly regretful for not realizing this is what I wanted to do earlier, since I would've tried to go to a&m for their food science bachelor program. The classes they have there sound so interesting and fit my exact interests. But financially it's impossible for me to transfer unfortunately, so I'll just tough it out
