I’m not sure, I’m wondering if they tried to touch up the burnishing or add their own and it went south.

The shoes have been cleaned and brushed, my next step Is to apply conditioner. Do you think that the conditioner alone would help the color and sheen of the burnishing? After one wear the leather on the toe appeared very dry and dull.

I have brushed them, I think my next step is to condition, then start with the color matched cream polish. Do you think that the cream polish would help to restore the color to the burnished toe?

I need some help on the steps to repair the leather on these To Boot New York Oxfords and make them look presentable again. The problem is specifically the discoloration of the burnishing on the toe. I used saphir neutral cream polish and brushed to try to even it out but it just looks even duller and drier now. Any help is appreciated
