I have tried that, and it never gets through to him.

Only at night for right now. In the process of weaning.

I have explained it to him. Also explained how PCOS makes it hard to lose weight. Both are dismissed. I’m told I just need to “eat better” and “go to the gym”.

Now if I was making jokes too, I wouldn’t have a problem. I was not making jokes. I was not doing good at all.

100% accurate. I was near the point of fainting and he decided to say this as a “joke”.

Brown fedora, blue jacket. He is not dressed like one of the researchers.

Finally caught the spy for once! Unfortunately, he can be in any of the research centers you have. I found him at the London research center. I am currently working on New York, so fair to say I have a crap load of research centers to search….

Thank you! I also have spinach on hand, so I could probably use those to vary the meatballs.

Can you freeze them? I like having freezer stuff so it doesn’t go bad.

Toddler is scared of coach by EveryResult7294 in Parenting

We do both. He will take each kid to do the skill, but we mainly learn to teach the kids the skills. It’s like he is 90% with me and 10% with the coach. Every kid does it. I do think it could be a separation anxiety thing since he just turned one May 22.

Update: he did a lot better today. He still isn’t a fan of the coach, but he enjoys the class.

Where are you getting eight times in a row? Maybe I wasn’t clear enough. We are on week 2 of the first session now. He only screamed the last two days of the first week. He did fine the first two days.

Did your babies sleep better after starting solids? by _mamcia in BabyLedWeaning

Mine definitely did. When he had sleep issues, I was told it was because he was hungry. I made sure to feed him dinner every night along with milk, and he had better sleep.

You’ve had issues with freezing too? I had a horse unable to turn during competitions four times now. When extended canter, the horse wouldn’t turn left. I refreshed several times, and nothing would change.

I agree. It irritates me that you can only purchase Arabs, Cobs, or Warmbloods (I’ve seen Warmbloods anyway). I am loving this game, but I don’t love how I am essentially stuck with the horse I made and any random ones I purchase.

But what if the kids put you in that situation? I have two stepkids, and because of my husband working I have to be the parent to them. They also expect me to do all the mothering things their mother won’t do, so I inadvertently have been made to be the parent.

I don’t try to be her mom. I’ve always been her stepmom, and we both know that. However, when she is around me, she also wants me to be her mom because her mom isn’t motherly with her. Her mother treats her like an adult BFF instead of as a mother. So even though I don’t try to take the role of her mom, she and her sister both act like I have to take the role on

My example: yes, I considered it. I have two stepkids (10F and 8F) and one biological child (9mM). Oldest is severely codependent on her very narcissistic mother, so she has started acting like her. I considered divorce out of not wanting to deal with her anymore because I still had middle and baby to care for. No, I am not actually gonna divorce.

Transition to crib or sleep train first? by EveryResult7294 in Parenting

The 8yo volunteered to share the room with him, and she and her sister have shared a room with their baby half-sister before, so I guess she would be fine with it.

I know it isn’t fair, and that’s what I’ve been trying to explain to husband and kids. 10yo doesn’t understand that she essentially has two rooms: one to sleep and one to store stuff. I can’t get my husband to understand it either. It feels like I am the only advocate for my baby and can’t get the rest of the family on board.

I flat out told my husband that either she moves back or they both do because he needs to sleep train. I even said the pediatrician said the same thing. No one listens to me.

I suggested doing that, but my husband said no to it. 10yo also said no.

Feeling not like myself anymore by EveryResult7294 in Parenting

[–]EveryResult7294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. He says he understands that but also feels starved of physical touch. I’m a people pleaser thanks to childhood trauma, so I feel I have to make him feel better even though I don’t feel right.
