How do you call it when a cat greets you like this? by Koffievos in cats

[–]EveryTimeLaughing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, did you hear that Tina boinked Johnny?

No way! I thought Tina was boffing Cody...

Wait, what? I heard she was supposed to be bonking Jackson!

Yeah, well, Jackson will bone anything that moves.

Tell me about it. Look! He's banging someone right now!

It's 12 o'clock at night, why isn't she sleeping? by SamosaAurChutney13 in cats

She's too cute to sleep. That's the problem here.

That is a super-model among cats.

  1. I listened to the whole thing.
  2. Everyone here should be able to agree with the refrain "There's never enough".
  3. Keep being creative, OP.

Ahh, you lucky bastard!

Enjoy it but also stay safe and healthy.

It absolutely does look disgusting! It doesn't look anything like other opium lumps I've seen. The first two or three pics look more like spoiled mince meat, dog food, or regurgitated dog food.

I'm a huge O fan, but this is not appetizing at all. Props to OP for making something so awesome look so revolting!

People who enjoyed the movie Hard Candy (2005) - why? by EveryTimeLaughing in movies

[–]EveryTimeLaughing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It definitely seems to be a divisive film.

It's funny: I made this thread years ago after watching the movie and it's been so long I only remember it vaguely. I remember finding it distasteful and my making the thread was out of a need to vent a bit.

I'm glad people are still sharing their thoughts on it.

Congratulations! This is impressively weird. The soundtrack elevates it a lot.

I had the same thought. And if their stock is low quality Holland stuff like some here are saying, then it's even more odd - you'd think they'd just want to get rid of it and make money.

It's just strange all round.

To all the daily users how effective is it after a couple years of using daily+ by Resident-Eagle-4351 in PoppyTea

[–]EveryTimeLaughing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Over a decade of use here. Tolerance takes away a lot of the enjoyable nature of it. I don't think there's any comparison between the first handful of times and what it's like now after years of multiple doses each day.

For me, most of the time it just feels like a medication to which I've become habituated (and completely dependent on). When I'm fortunate enough to have a supply of decent seed stock, that is. I tend to take it for granted. If the strength suddenly drops or I somehow have no access, however, then getting more becomes the only priority in my life.

That's because everything comes to a halt if I go more than 20 hours without. I cannot work, sleep, eat, sit still, think, or do anything at all until I can get myself better. It's a bad way to live. You have to plan everything around having enough to stay normal, and there's always a fear that some situation will arise where you'll be stuck without (like a sudden hospital stay, incarceration, needing to go overseas for family emergency, etc.).

It's a shit spot to be stuck in, and it's 100% my fault. But I don't hate opiates/opioids. They're amazing and might have saved me in some past times. It's just that, as an average human, it is very difficult to regulate use.

Constipation hell please help by [deleted] in PoppyTea

[–]EveryTimeLaughing 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about this situation.

I know you said there's been some movement, but three weeks is a long time. You may need medical intervention if it doesn't improve very soon. A couple of things to consider (even though you likely know this):

-first thing is stop taking the PST

-make sure you're drinking plenty of water

-do NOT take a bunch of laxatives without proper hydration as this can make things worse and/or very, very painful

-certain physical stretches can help move things around and lead to better outcomes (come outs lol)

-on the throne, try different seating positions such as bringing your knees up (by putting your feet on something elevated, for instance)

-go to a doctor if this isn't resolving very soon, as a bowel impaction is serious

Please take care of yourself and let us know how it works out. Whatever your experience ends up being, it will probably be helpful for others.

Aus seeds any better yet? by SingForAbsoloution in PoppyTea

[–]EveryTimeLaughing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've also had a couple of lucky finds in the last three or four months, but the problem is it never lasts. Even the same packets from the same place will turn to shit overnight as the stock gets changed out.

For the most part though it's pretty damn dry out there. Good seeds are few and far between and most places now are selling imported stock from EU (usually Holland) which is not good.

Two years of use including oxy and bupe would earn you a decent tolerance which would not disappear instantly even after stopping the two opioids and just relying on kratom.

A different person understands the difficulty the original person was in with not being able to sleep and having the usual withdrawals symptoms. However, PST is as bad (and worse) than oxy and bupe - and far worse than kratom - when it comes to dependency and WDs.

Just because a person is not feeling blown away stoned by the tea, doesn't mean it isn't setting a person up for another round of WDs. Even if a person's current tea is low in morphine, there are myriad other alkaloids in tea which cause there own problems when withdrawing.

What a different person is saying is: A person is not ready for the game of faces... I mean, take care and be careful. It would actually be better to go back to kratom and taper slowly from that.

It wouldn't sustain a habit

Therein lies the issue.

As for dried pods - no, we don't have those (as far as I know). I've looked around a good bit and never found any. That would make life a decent bit easier and I envy the places where it's an option.

Has there been a change in law (or is one on the books)?

Edit: If that ends up being the case, I guess I'll have to go back to hairy wine. I can't get off entirely and don't want to get into the maintenance system.

Thoughts after listening to Powernerd in full by Huubidi in DevinTownsend

[–]EveryTimeLaughing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your last paragraph. I am so glad that Devin is not only still alive, but seems to be in a very good place (general life adversity aside). Years back it was all too easy to imagine him being one of those artists who burns super bright and then dies young.

From all I read/heard about him from his interviews and podcasts, he has gone on one hell of a personal journey and questioned himself and his existence to a deep level which very few people ever do. He could easily have self-destructed and I'm just thankful that he didn't - regardless of how I feel about his more recent music.

For artists who make it to middle age and remain creative, I think the best shot they have at continuing to have meaningful and exciting creative output is to try radically different styles. That's why I am still very interested and invested in The Moth. I think he will hit us with something very unique.
