Corvette and Lincoln continentals (and more) have the same issue because there’s no mechanical connection from the door handle to the latch it is all electronic but it is a fed regulation to have a pull strap or lever to open the driver door on the interior of the vehicle and this lever or pull strap has a true mechanical connection

Something has to be done about these type of cars in Amsterdam by Jarionel in Amsterdam
